TranscriptKids, first of all, everything bad that white people did, people of color did it, too. Bill Maher, my friend Bill Maher, not a Trump supporter, did break bread with him. Then Trump last week or two weeks ago sent out a crazy, uh, truth social post on Maher. Um, but Maher does get it on most things. Uh, he is a liberal, he is an atheist, he is a lefty, but a staunch defender of free speech and Western civilization. Here he is on Real Time on Friday and he said, "We are part of one civilization, Western civilization."
Now, I want to first of all say something about Western civilization. Kids, you don't know what it is. And no, really, they think Western means white and white means bad. Kids, first of all, everything bad that white people did, people of color did it, too. The Japanese before World War II and during World War II and Genghis Khan, and I could go on and on, you know, uh, the left is very down on America, very down on the West. And it's ironic because the West has also given us everything that makes your life good here. Don't ask Billy Isish or Chapel Ran about what the Western values are because they'll just say it's about oppression, right?
But it's not about oppression. It's about rule of law. It's about respect for minorities. It's about democracy. It's about scientific inquiry. These are all good things that came from the Western world. I wish the schools would teach that again.
And that's actually what Bill Maher just laid out there is the true liberal position. It's why it's tough for me to always defend the word liberalism, but caring about free speech and scientific inquiry, um, and all the other things he and women's rights and minority rights and blah blah blah blah and equality, those are that that comes from the liberal tradition that was born out of Western philosophy, out of Western societies. But the modern left across the board hates the very things that freed it. It is quite bizarre.
The Left isn’t liberal. The Left is undemocratic and Totalitarian. That’s what needed to be “shouted from every keyboard”.

Agreed. “Classical liberalism” and modern “liberalism” are not the same. They are pretty much opposites.
The socialists came along did their thing, redistribution. They claimed the world “liberal” as their own. They stole the word “liberal” and applied it to people who were not liberal in the original sense.
The Left is delusional.
It’s easy to imagine that people without a written language were saintly and noble, because they did not record their history. Europeans recorded theirs, triumphs and struggles along with all the crimes and blemishes. It’s all written down and preserved for posterity. We should not make the mistake of thinking that absence of a written history means they didn’t have a history. It just means they could not learn from it.
