Ilhan Omar’s Husband Under Investigation Omar’s sudden, inexplicable rise in wealth

Ilhan Omar and her husband Tim Mynett, a political consultant and now a businessman as well, have done remarkably well these last few years. When she began her career in Congress in 2019, Omar had a negative net worth, consisting of between $45,000 and $150,000 of credit card and student loan debt. And now, in 2026, she apparently has a net worth of close to $30 million. She has some ‘splainin to do, especially since she is a Somali from Minnesota, where 98 people, almost all of the fellow Somalis, have been charged with fraud, and so far 60 of them been convicted or pleaded guilty. One of those convicted was Salim Said, co-owner of the Safari Restaurant. In 2020, some of the state’s money was distributed to the Safari Restaurant to provide meals to schoolchildren, but instead was pocketed by Said. Ms. Omar was apparently on good terms with Salim Said; she chose to hold her 2018 congressional victory party at the Safari Restaurant.

Typical gutless, limp-wristed, Repukelican pansies... investigate the husband rather than the third-world, America-hating, Demonic filth actually responsible for the “inexplicable rise in wealth”.

nothing will happen. Even if (when) they find actual criminal activity, nothing will happen.

There is a rumor that Omar has dropped out of sight. Is there an over/under line on when she will flee the country?

I married a Viking woman. I wonder if she'll spring for a bottle. I have a birthday coming up.

I don’t see any legal way to go from 45k or more in debt to 30mil. in that length of time legally, unless she won the lottery. If there IS a legal way to do that, please share..:)

Congress critters have all sorts of laws they are exempt from. I suspect she used her immunity to gain favor with those that do the actual theft and graft.

Remember when the Somali migrant fraudster, who hosted Ilham Omar campaign events, was found guilty of stealing $12 million from American taxpayers?
#Minnesota

Salim Ahmed Said, the co-owner of Safari Restaurant who hosted high-profile events for Rep. Omar was convicted last year in one of the largest pandemic-era fraud schemes in U.S. history.

#minneapolis
Said was found guilty on all 21 counts, including wire fraud, money laundering, and bribery.

Words cannot express my contempt and disgust for Ilhan Omar, but in this case the 'inexplicable' rise in wealth appears to have been basically completely via the husband's "business*" ventures. This isn't a Pelosi-like case of insider trading where the Rep. herself has dirty hands; it's the hubby running multiple fraudulent enterprises (look up EstCru Winery...), laundering Dem donations, and charging as the gatekeeper of access to Rep. Omar. I have no doubt she's in on all of it, but the 'inexplicable' wealth all appears to have her husband as the actual executor of the improper actions.

Federal government plans to seize luxury items from convicted Feeding Our Future defendant
............................

The government also found at least six designer purses and totes from Prada, Coach, and Burberry, along with several pairs of earrings and necklaces and at least six watches. A women’s Versace belt like the one in the seizure request is valued at $230 or more online.

If a judge approves the government’s request, the seizure order will become final when Said is sentenced.

So Rep. Comer’s committee was hot on her trail and suddenly he referred her to the Ethics committee, where all good cases against corrupt officials go to die. Apparently, Comer let the lid of Pandora’s box open a bit too far. Can’t go too far down that road because it might bite your behind when the Dims are in power.
