Just maybe they were merely feeding the homeless...who they won’t allow into their building because then the staff might have to work.
California is beyond saving. No matter how badly their government performs, no matter how abusive the politicians are to the public, the public will still, dutifully vote Dem/communist.
You can count on it!!!
Expiration dates are tricky things.
Waste-Fraud-Abuse-Deceit
Voter Fraud is rampant in CA. It will eventually divide the Democrats since the primaries will decide the winner.

In 2022 local CBS news (reporter David Goldstein) did an investigative report on LAHSA. At that time, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer said “I was outraged when I saw your piece.” Then Mayor Garcetti said “If there’s food that is perfectly good that’s being thrown away, that’s unacceptable.”
“California is beyond saving.”
The good news is that CA will always have only two senators to ruin the rest of the nation.
Our church food bank has received high dollar steaks from the regional food bank that were several years out of date. Thanks???
Oh please. It’s not like food instantly rots on the expiration date. If you’re hungry and have no money, you’ll eat anything.
I meant to say the Frozen Steak-mms, Fruity Pebbles probably have expiration dates in the next decade.
Yep 👍👍
This story is from 2022...there is no one else posting this as a current event...they are taking this old story and running with it.
I’d bet it has something to do with liability concerns. If they give out something that’s even a month past the expiration date, and somebody gets sick for whatever reason (such as not refrigerating leftovers), you know who will get sued. Jury jackpot, baby!
I’ve eaten canned stuff that was a decade or more out of date. It wasn’t as good as it would have been in earlier times, but it didn’t make me sick.
Let them eat Soylent Green.
Exactly. Like Salt, for example. The remnants of primordial seas that dried up millions of years ago, it tends to go bad within months of being packaged in a box on your grocer’s shelf.
