The film begins 20 days before the Inauguration of President Donald Trump’s second term, from the viewpoint of his wife, Melania Trump. Melania is in charge of organizing the Inaugural events scheduled for January 20th, 2025, and is deeply involved in everything from the party invitations to the décor of the ballrooms; from her own personal wardrobe, to the layouts and presentations of each ceremonial moment, Melania has a hand in making all of it come together.

Looking forward to it coming to streaming tv.
I can’t do theaters.
What a great review! Should our country survive the next round of Democrat election fraud and consolidate around another MAGA president next time, we still have a chance. And both Melania and Donald will be looked on favorably by history, an uniquely talented couple.
I saw Melania in the movie theater on Feb 1st. It was uplifting and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Aside from the girly stuff that did not interest me it was a fascinating movie. As Melania takes part in traditional American rituals you get the sense she truly loves America and wants to do important things while she is in her position. The Internet Movie Database has been flooded with negative reviews . I suspect most of them never even watched the movie but wanted to vomit their hate for all the world to witness.
We truly do have an imperial White House.
I can’t imagine or recall First Ladies like Bess Truman or Mamie Eisenhower having such full plates before them.
Melania, to her credit seems to handle it with grace and style, with the additional burden of dealing with a venom spewing media at every door.
It’s made 14 million to date. They need 70 million to break even. 35 million to make and 35 million advertising. I think it can be done with streaming.
Enjoyed the Melania movie, all except for her saying how much she loved Michael Jackson’s music. Kind of difficult to rationalize, on one hand her dedication to children’s causes and on the other hand her love of Jackson’s music. Jackson paying 23 million to make the charges all go away, doesn’t mean he didn’t abuse children.
I bought 2 tickets to a local theatre just to bump the movie. Had, and honestly have, no intention of watching it.
I think theaters are becoming passe.
The ones at the mall very rarely have a full parking lot.
Often you can rent a new release online when it’s still in the theater.
I don’t go to them because the new “ curved screens” aggravate my vertigo so I rent from home.
I doubt it. Box office gross is shared between the studio and theater owners. Amazon is probably getting around half. Melania would have to make around 140 million to break even. That’s never gonna happen. Amazon will probably lose at least 60 million, even though the results are quite good for a documentary. Nobody spends that much on a docu and expects to make the money back. Amazon didn’t decide to make the film because they expected financial success but to get into the President’s good books.
