During his remarks to the troops, President Trump joked that the Abrams tank was named in honor of failed Democrat Stacey Abrams.

“We’re also purchasing 30 new and modified Abrams tanks. Named in honor of Stacey Abrams!” Trump said to laughter.

“Congratulations, thank you very much for a great name, Stacey,” Trump said.

I think an M1 Abrams weighs in at about 70 tons.

I highly doubt these are new Abrams tanks. There have been hundreds of older tanks in storage since the mid-1990’s. When the army want’s new ones, the just refurbish the old hulls and turrets, install new electronics and sometimes weapons, and call them new tanks.

I used to work for General Dynamics, which bought the tank factories from Chrysler, and have seen the brag employee morale videos of the acres of tank carcass storage.
