Virginia Delegate Tom Garrett Jr. delivered an extended statement arguing that efforts to restrict firearms represent a fundamental misunderstanding of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the historical basis of self-defense, asserting that the right to bear arms is inherent and not granted by government.

Garrett framed his remarks around what he described as repeated misinterpretations of the Second Amendment and broader constitutional principles, opening by questioning the motivation behind gun control proposals.

Lengthy read. Delegate Garrett gives great defense of 2nd Amendment. That being said, it seems to me that it doesn't matter how the USSC rules on the 2nd Amendment. Democrats will continue to ignore rulings and make laws to jail citizens who do nothing more than exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. And it's because they know that the USSC has no enforcement powers.

So we'll just avoid blue states because they have their own laws and they are no longer following the Constitution of the United States?

Thomas Alexander Garrett Jr.
A Republican, Garrett formerly represented the 22nd district in the Virginia Senate. In November 2022, Garrett announced he would run for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2023. In the 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election he was elected in the 56th district. Might be a guy worth paying attention to.

Do so if that is what you take from the post. I made an observation, not a recommendation.

But the executive branch has the power to enforce Supreme Court decisions.

President Eisenhower did it in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957, as I recall.

Federal courts have ordered extreme conditions on local governments during the whole “affirmative action” mess.

The Supreme Court does not have troops available; it does not mean the orders cannot be enforced.

How does she compare to the Witch Queen of New Orleans?

President Trump can barely enforce the law in blue states.

In the 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election he was elected in the 56th district. Might be a guy worth paying attention to.”

Garrett was actually once a *U.S. Congressman* from the 5th district of Virginia both before and after winning election to the Virginia state legislature. He was a solid conservative, subjected to vicious attacks by the Democrat media during his 2 years in DC.

Elected in 2016, Garrett served 1 term in Congress and intended to run again but was overwhelmed by all the hatred he had to endure and eventually withdrew from the race in 2018. At that time he blamed alcoholism.

He was replaced in Congress by a liberal squish named Denver Riggleman (who has since become an “independent” but is basically a Democrat); Riggleman was ousted in 2020 by super-solid conservative Bob Good who, like Garrett, was subjected to non-stop hatred for 2 terms. Good’s career effectively came to an end when he was accused of being insufficiently worshipful of Donald Trump, and Trump endorsed some pliable moderate instead. Good was defeated in the 2024 GOP primary.

Now, once the Rats get their Virginia gerrymander implemented, the Republican who replaced Good will be out of work too.

A former Democrat rep from this district, Tom Perriello, who is a particularly nasty piece of shit, is running again this year and will likely be gerrymandered into victory. Even WITHOUT the gerrymander (if it is temporarily blocked), the Republican incumbent is extremely far from safe.

In short, the district has been a wee bit volatile in recent years. Fortunately Garrett decided not to quit altogether an is doing a good job in the legislature, although his party is seriously outnumbered in the House of Delegates and is largely impotent now in this allegedly “purple” state.

Deaf ears in VA...
VA voters have chosen permanent communism, and the former Constitution is now irrelevant...

“...Democrats will continue to ignore rulings and make laws to jail citizens...”

Communists will continue to ignore rulings and make laws to jail citizens... Fixed it.
They’re no more “democrat” than the head of my dog’s penis. They’re outright, full-fledged, violent communists that are hellbent on destroying this nation as we now know it.
Stop for a minute and think just how great this nation would be if they weren’t here trying to do everyting they can to destroy it from every facet.
Personally, I despise the very ground that the shadow of these vile basstids happens to fall on. IF they truely want this war they’re pushing so hard for, we should give to them...good and hard with absolutely no quarter given...none whatsoever. Spit.

I wonder if there’s any relationship to the Wicked Witch of Chappaqua, or if they’re just part of the same coven?

The White Witch of Richmond I’m sure is a graduate Summa Cum Laud of that particular school of female deviltry.
