Canadian Shield (Podcast) ^ | Jan.25, 2026 | Stirling Thomas

Donald Trump is not supporting the Globalist Agenda. Howard Lutnick makes a very important point. That the USA has huge investment,6 Billion in AI alone. Carney did nothing to attract investment in Canada because he is protecting his industrial tariff protected liberal monopolistic cronies.

Lutnick states now all Carney ever does is whine and complain.USMCA is going to fail, Lutnick is going to add tariffs to Canadian products entering the USA, and many businesses will move from Canada to the USA.Carney is completely out to lunch. The Globalists have left the Canadian Liberal party high and dry.

See this whole brilliant analysis by Stirling Thomas.

Lutnick — isn’t that something the Russians put into space?

It’s true that Canada has to reconsider every aspect of the national identity and adjust to the reality that the world has changed. I think Carney well understands this but he’s stuck with the wrong political party, elites who have figured out how to float along fueled by western transfer payments and kept in power by grateful eastern recipients.

Carney doesn’t really represent anything, I believe he has acquired a certain reputation in part by accident or default. He is probably free to try to go in any direction he wants to go in. I don’t know the man, I know his reputation and I’ve shared in Carney-bashing rituals in the past, but so far, his activity as prime minister sort of draw an ideological blank, he could be thinking almost anything. His party have not had to make any public show of support yet due to the rather slow process Poilievre has been moving through to remain leader of the opposition.

Basically, other than a few minor cosmetic changes, Carney has done almost nothing and in today’s world, that probably represents the best possible form of government because you can’t make too many blunders if you just sleep under the banyan tree all day — unless that IS the blunder.

So what I’m saying is, Carney could head off in any direction in the future, further left, further right, more populist, more elitist. He’s under the pressure now of dealing with the inevitable Alberta referendum (which I think the separatists will lose). There again, his best strategy may be to do very little so as not to fan the flames of discontent. If he can patch together an oil pipeline project, he will, but he won’t try overly hard.

I feel that I know how this ends and it is a big surprise ending. I will give a one-word clue. Kingdom.

Carney is really in big trouble. Despite he’s been Canadian Prime Minister just for one year, he’s changed almost nothing for the better.
Let’s take the situation with Alberta. What measures has Carney’s government taken to prevent the province from separation? Until Alberta put the question bluntly, they had done nothing, turning a deaf ear to all Alberta’s requests. So, what other result were they waiting for?
The wealthiest province in Canada with such enormous oil and gas reserves was forced to go to extreme lengths to save its economy and build its bright future. With such a potential it will play more active role in the international market year after year. Even the Memorandum of Understanding between the government of Alberta and the government of Canada signed in November will change very little. Alberta feels that Ottawa is in a vulnerable position now. And if it even won’t manage to separate, it will make the most of the situation.

China used Canada as a passthrough for China exports into the US market.

That is not permitted under the USMCA
That is why the USMCA will close and be replaced by a new treaty

Who engineered Canada’s illegal actions under the USMCA? Freeland, Carney, and Justin

Re: Alberta separation.......its different this time. Trudeau and Carney have purposefully held back Alberta and Albertans know it.Its become an emotional issue.

I expect they will vote to separate and join the State of Montana.
