President Trump on Saturday threatened to impose a 100% tariff on goods imported from Canada into the U.S. over Canada's new partnership with China.
"If Governor Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a 'Drop Off Port' for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken," he wrote on social media.
"China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life," he wrote.
Trump said a new tariff would kick in if Canada strikes a deal with China.
"It will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A.," he wrote.
Trump's comments were made in response to a Just the News story.

Canada made a deal with the devil starting in the 90s before Hong Kong was given back to the communist Chinese. Canada let a large number of Chinese into the country if they came with a large amount of money. Many wealthy Hong Kong residents sent their young sons to Canada with that amount of money getting a foothold in the country. By the end of the last century they had completely changed Vancouver, including shopping malls that were totally Chinese, etc.

Well, Pierre showed himself to be not so nimble by then jumping on the TDS bandwagon. I don’t think Trump does or says anything without intention. I think he thought he could get a better deal with Carney as I don’t think Trump was unaware of the effect his comments would have.
It has all ended well with Alberta on the brink of independence. Alberta is expecting 1 million to sign the petition to place a vote of separation from Canada on the ballot. Only 176,000 signatures are needed.
Then Sas is expected to vote for independence, as well as, Quebec. The Canadian constitution is required to grant independence if a province requests it with a vote.
Apparently, Alberta has held meetings with the US State Dept agreeing to recognize Alberta’s independence when the vote is held. Canada as we know it is finished.
