Online conservative figures are throwing a fit over newly inaugurated Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger implementing her policies.
The online right has been lamenting Spanberger’s first week as governor, claiming she was just acting as a moderate while running for office and has now taken a far-left turn.
In her first few days as governor, Spanberger signed several executive orders, one of which ended state and local cooperation with federal immigration agents, a policy proposal that she said she would enact if elected.
Conservatives are expressing outrage over Spanberger’s first moves, equating her to a villain, a witch, and one of the “most dangerous people in our society.”
Spanberger’s overall agenda as governor, outlined on her campaign website, also aligns with her three terms as a House Democrat.
The Virginia-based Lepanto Institute, a Catholic organization, compared Spanberger to the White Witch in the Chronicles of Narnia in a post on X.
“White liberal women are the most dangerous people in our society,” MAGA activist Laura Loomer posted to her 1.8 million followers on X.

13 female governors, 9 of them are AWFUL. Sarah Huckabee Sanders appears to be an excellent Governor. Kristi Noem was a former Governor and she’s been effective Secretary of Homeland Security. But they are exceptions to the rule. Others appear to have a compulsive need for control.

I’m too busy worrying about the RINOs in the US Congress to worry about some Democrat.
I wish Republicans could embrace electoral victory so swiftly and thoroughly.
I notice that The Daily Mail fails to name her policies that have conservatives upset.
Maybe TDM could contact a real journalist somewhere and ask them what the policies are.

Spanaberger immediately effing up Virginia is good for the midterms as it once again demonstrates that voting blue gets you screwed.

Number 1. The Republicans are not interested in Electoral Victories. They are more than content playing second fiddle to the Democrats and feasting off their leavings. It bothers them not one whit to be the Democrat’s whipping boys. As long as can collect their graft money. They are more than content to be the Minority Party. It galls the Hell out of the Democrats when they are the Minority Party. They [Democrats] will move Heaven and Hell to get back in the Majority. The Republicans bitch and moan because are in the majority and something is expected of them.
OTOH, DeSantis is the only example of a male governor with a decent track record and there are far more male governors than female ones. Where are the rest of the great male ones?
To consider ANY democrat as a moderate is absolutely ludicrous! There is no such thing.

It’s like the IRA used to say: “You have to win every time. We only have to win once.” That’s the Democrats. Criminals and terrorists.
That's reassuring.
So when the Democrats sweep everything in November, we'll be comforted in knowing that MAGA didn't lose, Republicans lost.
