Nick Shirley's Minnesota daycare investigation hit 124 million views in less than 4 days and exposed millions in alleged welfare fraud.
Now Silicon Valley wants to scale the model nationwide.
Chamath Palihapitiya just backed the idea of a crowdfunded grant program to unleash "tens of investigative journalists" on fraud across blue states, starting with California.
The concept: create a decentralized DOGE-like network of citizen journalists funded by tech investors, supported by private investigators, and aimed at systematically documenting fraud across blue states.
Think of it as Elon's DOGE operation, but crowdsourced and hyper-focused on state-level corruption instead of federal waste.
The strategy is simple: flood the news cycle with so many documented fraud cases that traditional media can't ignore them and Democrats can't counter the narrative fast enough.
One hoodie-wearing journalist with a camera just reached more people than every major news network combined.
Now imagine dozens doing the same thing simultaneously across multiple states.
This is launching with the midterms in mind, designed to overwhelm whatever narrative control corporate media still has.
Shirley proved the model works. Now the question is whether Silicon Valley backing can turn one viral investigation into a coordinated nationwide blitz.

I hope they screen and train these people well. Not everyone is capable of being as calm, reserved and mature as Shirley.
I can see big trouble with a bunch of unrestrained hotheads doing this and the whole thing backfiring.

Agree completely. However, without significant indictments, arrests, convictions, and incarcerations, simply discovering the multitude and frequency of this fraud is meaningless. To some degree the complete and utter lack of meaningful repercussions for these crimes will result in people just giving up on the “system” and the gutless, ball-less Repukelican pansy party. I think its already happening with the lack of any demonstrable action against the Trump lawfare conspirators a full year after the inauguration. Another easy fraud case would be an investigation of that POS Omar’s $30 million dollar bank account achieved within a year; any experience fraud investigator would be able to uncover the source(s) of this increase in about a week, yet there isn’t a person alive that would bet a dime anything will be done about it. Maybe Forrest Comer will have another investigation that goes nowhere...
One thing that was obvious from the Shirley video when he went into the office building where a dozen home health care companies had leased shell offices, they all had signs on the windows that said "Must wear facemask to enter" when COVID-19 restrictions were long over. This was intended to keep people from going inside, as most people no longer carry facemasks with them in public.
It will be informative if those same signs are seen in windows of suspicious offices in other cities.

He has been around for a few years - he used to be joined by his mother early on.
It is one thing for a smart, curious and ambitious individual like him to organically build his business and brand by his trips to MSP (many times), El Salvador, Panama, US-Mexico border over the years.
It is another to throw money around hoping to manufacture someone else in his same mold.
Another person who shows promise but is a bit less experienced than Nick Shirley is Angela Rose. She sometimes does collaborations with him.
So Silicon Valley tech companies are now MAGA? And why them if true?
I’m of a different opinion. Uncovering as much fraud as possible before the midterms should make a difference. Pres. Trump has an admin that I believe is more effective and more expeditious than previous admins. What I think is our biggest problem is all of the left wing, biased, and corrupt judges that stand in the way of truth, justice, and the American way. I know that sounds like a corny 50’s Superman theme, but I couldn’t help it.
Just today, another report on the Somali feed the children scam came out. One small Somali restaurant claimed to provide 18,000 meals PER DAY, and billed the state for that.
And no one noticed.
Several weeks ago His videos popped up and now I’ve seen Several and Subbed.

Nick Shirley didn’t do squat other than post on Social Media what a local resident had been collecting for YEARS!
All of Nick Shirley’s info came from ONE guy. The Minneapolis resident is the real HERO in this story. He just didn’t have a YouTube channel.
