Finally! Department of Ed. Ends One Billion in Student Aid Fraud, Promises More Action

The U.S. Department of Education has reported an end to more than $1 billion in attempted student aid fraud in 2025.

These reforms were needed after the massive waste and fraud resulting from loosened rules during the Biden regime.

“Federal investigators found nearly $90 million in aid had already been fraudulently disbursed, including over $30 million to deceased individuals and more than $40 million to bots posing as students,” according to a report from Campus Reform.

That’s a lot of fraud, but it’s hardly surprising. Under Democrats, fraud and waste are rampant, as we learned in the era of DOGE.

Common sense has returned with the Trump administration.

As Education Secretary Linda McMahon put it, needing ID “to access taxpayer-funded aid is common sense.”

“From day one, the Trump administration has been committed to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government,” she said. “Merry Christmas, taxpayers!”

As President Trump has emphasized many times, his policies are common sense, and we are the party of common sense.

The Department of Education has also launched a website warning about AI scams posing as legitimate colleges that fool prospective students.

These AI fake sites use fake degrees and deepfake content to mislead students.

Now that we have a real president in the White House, “the Department is building a dedicated fraud detection team within Federal Student Aid to expand enforcement.”

This new unit will help protect students from these fake college scams.

While more work is needed, it’s refreshing that common sense is back, and this administration is doing a lot of work to protect students from these scams.

We’re ‘saving’ money that we never had to spend in the first place.

Trump needs to undo everything Obama did, and give the loans back to the banks. And privatize the security at airports again while he is at it.

some one will soon post “but no one has been arrested.”

Maybe they should be in charge.

Where do you start in this immense problem? stop the current fraud is the first place to start and they are doing it.

Biden really did all he could to destroy America during his time in office.

It’s inexplicable.

I wrote this in response to the Somali Fraud, but this is wholly applicable:

If it were revealed to us that the scope of all this fraud from all these agencies, programs, and government spaces in all the states across the union came to between $500 Billion to $1 Trillion taxpayer dollars a year, would any of us, ANY of us, even bat an eye????

Because I sure wouldn't.

Like an irrigation pipe that spans an arid region, all along that pipeline, buckets of water are being siphoned off to be used or sold to others it doesn't belong to, so that by the time that water reaches the end of the pipe to the person who paid for it, there is only a tenth of what water they expected to receive.

If that.

(That is, by the way, why the Aral Sea in the corrupt Soviet Union turned into an environmental disaster, not working either for the environment, or for the collective farms expecting to receive the water, getting only a trickle in the end, and drying up the lake in the process.)

That is the analogy for the river of taxes we pay. Shameful.

The COVID shamdemic made a lot of fraud possible. And Biden capitalized on it, getting a lot of parasites addicted and unable to remember being somewhat responsible for their own actions previously.

Our government excels at spending our money fraudulently and then telling us all about it afterwards. Be nice if they would stop some of it just for fun.

“Where do you start in this immense problem?”

Waste, Fraud, Abuse WFA is much more in HHS than Dept of Ed.
In HHS start with Deloitte and similar poverty pimps. Deloitte IES Integrated Eligibility System in 25 states registers the Dead for Welfare (The Dead don’t do it for themselves). IES gives 3 distinct ID to collect welfare to Sue Smith, Susan Smith and Susan Jones-Smith, all of whom have the same SSN, Date of Birth and address. Deloitte, Insurance companies and others get paid CAPITATION for the DUPS. Sue didn’t intend to file for DUP benefits. But she does not reject them when received. (Deloitte refuses to fix the intentional bad design of its Enterprise Master Person Index which makes it difficult/expensive for others to try to fix it.)

Biden, & Obama, should be stripped of every penny they have to pay the country back for the fraud they allowed/encouraged.

I’m in the minority here when I say Biden was in charge and knew what he wanted to do and who to do it to. He was so angry and bitter that the skinny melanated America hating homo was elected when it was JOE’S turn. Biden saw how beloved and worshipped Obama was and it turned his soul even darker than it already was. Biden wanted to be the cool president which is why he cuddled up to every perversion and wanted to punish the country for not worshipping the Biden name. He wanted to cause pain and suffering and leave a legacy that will never be forgotten and he may have well done it with his breakdown of the border and sticking every American hating foreigner in as many judge positions as possible.
