It took less than a decade for Canada's Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program to go from a compassionate means for terminally ill patients to end their lives to a full-blown euthanasia program that kills the poor, veterans, and people with depression.
In December of last year, we learned that, per capita, the number of Canadians who die by MAiD exceeds the number of U.S. gun deaths. MAiD is even targeting teens and the mentally ill.
Of course, it's purely a numbers game from a government that ultimately doesn't care if you live or die. Jolene is a woman who lives in Canada, and she has hyperparathyroidism caused by adenoma(s) on the parathyroid gland(s). It can cause elevated levels of calcium, which leads to bone damage and destroys soft tissue. Jolene suffers from pain, nausea, and vomiting.
The good news is that a surgery to remove the affected parathyroid gland(s) can fix the problem.
The bad news is, Jolene lives in Canada. And its socialized medicine system means there are no doctors available to perform the procedure.
But the Canadian government did offer to end Jolene's life.
A Canadian woman suffering from parathyroid disease has revealed that she is considering assisted suicide because she cannot get the surgery she needs.
Jolene Van Alstine, from Saskatchewan, suffers from a rare form of parathyroid disease, which results in extreme bone pain, nausea and vomiting. She requires surgery to remove a remaining parathyroid, but no surgeons in Saskatchewan are able to perform the operation.
In order to be referred to another province for the operation, Van Alstine must first be seen by an endocrinologist, yet no Saskatchewan endocrinologists are currently accepting new patients.
Social media was rightly outraged at this injustice and callous disregard for human life. Remember — Jolene isn't terminally ill. She has a perfectly treatable condition. Canada's "free" socialized system is preventing her from getting the care she needs.
Thankfully, radio host Glenn Beck heard Jolene's story and offered to get her to the U.S. for surgery.
Beck put the call out on X.
And Jolene herself responded.
Beck not only found surgeons who were willing to help Jolene, but was also connected with Jolene and her husband to arrange travel to the U.S. for the procedure.
The American healthcare system, while costly and imperfect, is saving Jolene's life, while the Canadian system would quite literally kill her.
Remember this when Democrats push for single-payer socialized medicine here.
Glenn does things like this, or tries to, a lot. He was one of the people trying to get those babies out of Britain a few years ago before the state could kill them. He was involved in getting people out of Afghanistan when the government wanted to abandon them, and the Biden regime tried to stop him.

Canada is not a sovereign nation as people imagine it to be.
Its controlled by the rump British empire in London and Davos globalists, and it is far gone.
If America continues on its MAGA path, you can be certain they will push Canada into conflict with the USA.
That’s what gov’t “healthcare” does. Gov’t “healthcare” is actually “DEATH PROTOCOL”.
There are so many reasons unconstitutional gov’t healthcare should be abolished.

1) Gov’t takeover of healthcare is unconstitutional and, thus, illegal. Nowhere does the Constitution delegate power to the feds to meddle in healthcare.

3) Gov’t healthcare puts your individual healthcare in the hands of distant, indifferent, and non-medial D.C. bureaucrats and politicians who of course as middlemen must be paid and, thus, increasing the cost of healthcare. The HHS bureaucracy has a budget of $1 trillion.
4) The highest quality, most affordable, and most available healthcare in the world is what we had in the voluntary cooperation DIRECTLY between doctor and patient before the gov’t muscled in in the 50’s and 60’s with its “helping hand” hand out and a hammer behind his back! As Ronald Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help’”.

5) Gov’t hammer? What hammer? Forced vaccines, forced abortions, forced treatment all by distant politicians and bureaucrats who are not medical experts and do not know you personally.
6) Gov’t agenda vs. your own personal agenda. Who cares more about your health? You? Or some distant politician and bureaucrat who doesn’t know you from Adam and frankly couldn’t care less about you personally?
7) No one cares more about your health than you. Why in the world would you take your personal healthcare and your personal choices in the self interest of your health and wellbeing out of the hands of the DIRECT relationship between you and the doctor of your choosing who knows and cares about you, and instead put your healthcare in the hands gov’t politicians and bureaucrats who don’t know you, have the power to force you to do what they want, and who have their own agenda which includes “culling” the “overpopulation” - so gov’t has a bias toward death.

8) “Healthcare” availability based on gov’t budgeting – a potential disaster. Long lines and long waiting time for procedures immediately available under free market healthcare directly between doctor and patient.

In the meantime, Canada has gone full steam ahead.
This is why I told everyone to never vote for this. When you get really sick or old, it will be cheaper to kill you.

No one needs “compassionate means” to kill themselves unless they are a hundred percent paralyzed. They can do it themselves and leave the medical establishment out of it.
It will also be a financial advantage to your heirs who now have cover for it.
Canada will revoke her healthcare for going to the USA.
My brother in laws first cousin was removed from there Canadian coverage and moved to the USA for cancer treatments denied in Canada due to his age.

A feature of Canada’s assisted suicide is that of organ harvesting. The well connected have a much greater chance of getting organs with the increased eligibility of assisted suicide. Feeling down, get killed and have your organs harvested. Ingrown toenail and politically incorrect, get killed and have your organs harvested.
just had a good friend that had that surgery in the local hospital ... within minutes of removal of the adenomas, her hyperparathyroid hormone levels dropped to normal levels, and she has been a new woman after that ...
it's a simple and common surgery, and quite frankly, i simply don't believe that there's no surgeon in canada who can perform that surgery ...
since Glenn Beck is involved, lots of grains of sand have to be taken ...

That’s not the problem... there are plenty of surgeons in Canada who can perform it too.....
As you will see... the problem is the system.

You probably are right.
Here’s another thing that I find disgusting with this story... It is wonderful that Beck has taken an interest in this case and wants to pick up the tab. But where are the rest of Canadians who should be totally outraged by this? Do they not feel a bit of compassion and why aren’t they willing to set up a GoFundme or something like that? Sheeeeez....
