Not familiar with the military justice process - but if they have subpoena power and can investigate the communications behind that commercial stunt, I say go for it. Pursue the court-martial.

The US-Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) permanently shut down its operations, claiming it had “fulfilled its mission”. However, the closure followed extensive controversy, international criticism, and safety concerns that led to the suspension of operations after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in October 2025.

Reasons for Disbandment

Claimed Mission Fulfillment: According to GHF Director John Acree, the organization succeeded in its mission of “showing there’s a better way to deliver aid to Gazans” without it being diverted by Hamas, and subsequently announced its permanent closure.

Ceasefire Implementation: The GHF had already closed its physical distribution sites after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire took effect six weeks prior to the permanent disbandment announcement.

Safety Concerns and Criticism: The GHF faced heavy criticism from over 170 aid groups, the UN, and health officials, who argued its system endangered the lives of civilians.
Hundreds of Palestinians were reportedly killed or wounded while trying to access aid at or near GHF-operated sites, as they had to pass Israeli troops securing the locations.

Critics, including major charities like Oxfam, Amnesty International, and Save the Children, called for the GHF’s closure, citing a blatant disregard for international humanitarian law and the creation of dangerous, military-heavy distribution zones.

The head of the GHF had resigned a day before operations were originally set to begin, stating the plan could not be implemented while adhering to humanitarian principles.
Lack of Transparency: The group’s operations were shrouded in secrecy, never revealing its sources of funding or details about the armed contractors who operated the sites, raising further concerns among the broader humanitarian community.

Consulting Firm Withdrawal: A key U.S. consulting firm, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), terminated its contract with the GHF amid backlash and internal review of its involvement, further destabilizing the organization’s operations.

Ultimately, the GHF, which was established as an alternative to the United Nations aid system, faced immense pressure and logistical challenges that culminated in its decision to permanently shut down operations.
