Report: Trump Will Ask Ukraine to Cede More Territory

President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia would give the Russians parts of eastern Ukraine they don’t occupy, Axios reported, citing a U.S. official.

As part of the deal, Ukraine will receive a security guarantee from the U.S. and Europe against future Russian aggression, the official said.

While Ukraine would view the deal as a major surrender to Russia, the White House believes Ukraine would likely lose the territory anyway and the country could receive assurances Russia wouldn’t just resume the war, Axios reported.

The deal would call for Russia to control the Donbas region, even though Ukraine controls 14.5% of the territory there, according to Axios.

Once under Russia control, the area would be considered a demilitarized zone, with Russia barred from having troops there, officials said.

Crimea and the Donbas would be recognized as Russian territory by the U.S. and other countries, but Ukraine would not be compelled to do so.

In two other Ukrainian regions, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, the current lines of control would be frozen in place, with Russia returning some land, according to Axios.

The Ukrainian military would be limited in its size and number of long-range weapons, a Ukrainian official said.

Turkey and Qatar have been involved in drafting the plan, Axios reported, citing two sources.

“We are now going to wait. The ball is in Zelenskyy’s court,” the U.S. official said, referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Putin bears 100% of the blame!

If he had only gotten a stroke on Feb. 23, 2022, this all could have been avoided!

Once again, we see the ridiculous and childish narrative that the entire war is down to one man.

“1 May 2021”

“Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones destroyed 114 Armenian tanks, i.e. more than three battalions, 43 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, 141 artillery installation and MLRS, as well as a bunch of other military equipment of the Armenian army, and this is only in 24 days. The military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia lasted 44 days”

“Even loitering ammunition purchased from Israel hit fewer armored vehicles than Turkish drones.”

“It is possible that this infographic is actually part of an information war, which was supposed to show Armenia that Azerbaijan is armed with “the most reliable attack drone” capable of destroying a bunch of enemy weapons without losing a single UAV.”

Moscow Times [10/27/2021]

The neighboring separatist-held Luhansk People’s Republic accused Kiev of using the Bayraktar in violation of ceasefire agreements that ban the deployment of foreign drones on the front line.

The Kremlin said Wednesday that Turkey’s supply of drones to Ukraine risks destabilizing the eastern Ukraine conflict

The Ukrainian army has been locked in a long-running conflict with separatist fighters in Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014 after Moscow annexed the peninsula of Crimea from Kiev. The conflict has claimed more than 13,000 lives.

Ukraine and its Western allies accuse Russia of sending troops and arms to support the separatists, which Moscow denies.

Warsaw Institute [27 October 2021]

“The Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 combat drone has been deployed at Donbas by the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation for the first time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement. The drone targeted the positions of pro-Russian insurgents on October 26. The incident has been met with criticism from Moscow.”

“The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle was used to attack a battery of howitzers that fired Ukrainian positions in Hranitne on the southern part of the line of contact. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and the other was wounded. Despite calls for a ceasefire from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, “Russian-terrorist” forces did not stop the fire. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered the drone strike to “force the ceasefire.”

“The Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation said on October 26 that separatists made thirteen breaches to the ceasefire”

New York Times [Nov. 15, 2021]

How a Dispute Over Groceries Led to Artillery Strikes in Ukraine

Deployed for the first time in combat by Ukraine and provided by a country that is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the drone hit a howitzer operated by the separatists. Things quickly escalated.

Across the border, Russia scrambled jets. The next day, Russian tanks mounted on rail cars rumbled toward the Ukrainian border.

BBC [26 November 2021]

they see the Kremlin sending a message that it’s ready to defend its “red lines” on Ukraine: above all, that it must not join Nato.

“I think for Putin it’s really important. He thinks the West has begun giving Ukraine’s elite hope about joining Nato,” political analyst Tatiana Stanovaya at R.Politik told the BBC.

“The training, the weapons and so on are like a red rag to a bull for Putin and he thinks if he doesn’t act today, then tomorrow there will be Nato bases in Ukraine. He needs to put a stop to that.”

Ukraine’s desire to join the security bloc is nothing new, nor is Russia’s insistence on vetoing that ambition in what it sees as its own “back yard”.

But Moscow has been rattled recently by the Ukrainian military using Turkish drones against Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine; the flight near Crimea of two nuclear-capable US bombers was an extra irritant.

“At a meeting between Putin and Biden, neither will give clear commitments but there may be some tacit understanding on how far the US is ready to go in increasing its military support to Ukraine,” Mr Kortunov argues. “That’s not impossible.”

“Whilst Putin has a flicker of hope that he can do a deal with Biden, he won’t take any rash steps. But if he thinks it’s all doomed, he could do the worst things we can imagine,” Tatiana Stanovaya warns.

Guardian [December 16, 2021]

“With tensions escalating along the border with Russia, Luke Harding visits troops in Ukraine’s Donbas region to gauge the mood ahead of a possible invasion. The war here has continued since 2014, when pro-Russian separatists seized Ukrainian cities.”

I wouldn’t go as high as 100%, but you do have a point. NATO arrogance certainly contributed greatly to where we are today.

WTF orifice is this so-called official speaking from. What does that mean? Will the Russians agree to this? Define troops ? Does this mean Russian cannot have security forces and intelligence officers there to prevent more of the color revolution garbage the western intelligence agents specialize in to keep the forever wars going.

This Axios report is sure getting repeated over and over.

A few things not mentioned, but mentioned in the original report:

1) Ukraine’s territory west of Donbas would be forbidden foreign troop presence. Size of Ukraine military would be limited and long range weapons forbidden.

2) No talk of reparations, even though the vast majority of damage has been done to the new Russian Donbas oblasts.

3) No war crimes prosecutions may take place in Russia of Ukraine offenders or elsewhere of Russian offenders.

4) Frozen Russian assets at Euroclear to be returned.

5) All sanctions of Russian entities by anyone in the world ended. All Russian sanctions against Ukraine entities ended and all Chinese restrictions on Rare Earth materials ended (The magnets are without question the most important matter looming over the US than anything else involving BRICs.)

6) Resumption of gas flow to Europe through Ukraine and Ukraine collection of transit fees resumed.

7) In order for a signature on the agreement to be valid, Ukraine will have to have immediate elections so that the signer has legal power.

“the White House believes Ukraine would likely lose the territory anyway”

Ukraine seems to be holding ion to that territory rather well.

The rate Russia has been gaining territory has increased, but the rate is still on the small side.

The more ‘honey’ the Russian ‘bear’ eats, the more it wants.

Ukraine’s bargaining power has been dropping for over two years now. It was best in the spring of 2023.

Britain and France gave Hitler the Sudetenland in exchange for his promise of peace.

Europe remembers how well that went, but Trump forgets.

So what will happen is this:

- Russia gets titular control of Eastern Ukraine

- Population will vote with their feet and move West, where there is a functioning non-oil based economy, not controlled by Moscow dumbthugs

- Moscow Dumbthugs will complain bitterly that their newly acquired slaves have left for places where the lights stay on, you can buy a SKODA with a reasonable wage, and guys named Yuri don’t extort you when you try to open a beezness.

The Russo-Dopes will plead with Super Dooper Czar Pooteen for more free s**t but he will have only crumbs to give them....and more people will leave, the towns/villages/cities will crumble and fall into disrepair (like a lot of Rossiya now), and the Russians will once again blame everyone else for their problems and claim that they can’t make a go of it, even though they have 11 time zones.

Same as we saw in 1960 when they had to build a wall to keep the slaves on their government reservation.

Nobody wants to be ruled by Russians, not even most Russians.

It appears that basically, what remains of it, Ukraine will be a nation in name only.

They own US, the American taxpayer, billions.

All started originally, back in the early 1900s. All todays worldwide conflicts point back to then, and the disaster of a treaty signed after WW1.

Those references to the founders advice about staying out of entanglements are absolutely correct. The founders references to that concerned European oligarchs nearly exclusively.

“Define troops ?”

Perhaps: Persons with military training or weapons using explosive force other than 9mm pistols?
