Ordinarily Tim Adkinson, a trucker, sleeps in the back of his vehicle. But on a warm night at the end of March, he checked into a hotel in Austin, Texas. He had dressed up smartly: white linen shirt and chinos, hair brushed forward in an attempt to mask his receding hairline. On his wrist he wore a yellow paper wristband. This accessory was meant to signal to the people he’d meet that evening that he was single, open to dating and, most importantly, looking to procreate—a lot.
“I’m 32 years old and I haven’t had any kids,” Adkinson told me. We were sitting next to each other eating a dinner of roast chicken and broccoli in the auditorium of the Bullock Texas State History Museum. It was the opening ceremony of NatalCon, a two-day conference that tasked itself with “gathering the brightest minds in the world in search of new solutions” to the global fall in birth rates. The 200-strong crowd was full of self-proclaimed pro-natalists: those who believe that people (at least people like them) should be having more children, and that, if they don’t, society (at least as they know it) will collapse. Adkinson, whose solitary life on the open road gives him a lot of time to think, was concerned that he was contributing to the problem. “You know, the alarm bells were going off. Like why hasn’t this happened for me?” There was a flash of vulnerability in his face. “It’s not just trucking,” he said. “It’s not me specifically. It’s everywhere.”
He had seen influencers speaking online about NatalCon, and decided to pay the $1,000 fee to attend.

Conservatives recognize and appreciate the cultural value of the family unit, and we endeavor to preserve it.
The Left abhors the family unit and believes the affairs of the family should be the province of The State.
It is as simple as that.
Oh Got It...”fertility fanatics”
The British misanthropes want to point and titter at the crazy Americans who want to have children.
Gosh it’s the ‘70s all over again: when do they start labeling mothers as “breeders” and babble about “overpopulation”...things they only talk about when it comes to White people.
Ah Yes
Watching Kevin and Bridget and Conor and Patrick and Liam troop out the front door...
“The Economist” is another leftist rag that hides behind a conservative sounding name.
It has trended more and more left over the last couple of decades.

No, we don’t have to go crazy with this.
We do need to expel the illegals, which will also make the American dream real for young Americans again.
I stopped reading at “The Economist”.
How dare they refuse to bow down to the sacred cow of contraception, a required sacrament of fornicators in particular.
The use of the word “fanatics” is bad enough. Putting it in the headline suggests that “The Economist” is a trash publication.
I am not inclined to take advice on family from people who resemble that person.
That picture in your previous post at #8 tells me all I need to know. There is a degree of overt narcissism and tags of homosexuality visible in that one picture. I could be wrong. But I don’t think I am.
You're not.

Spit.
All you needed to know about “Gay Men in China”.
So many young people nowadays just don’t see marriage and family life as important life goals.
Nobody can force you to get married and have children.
I guess the unanswerable question is, why do so many young people come of age and don’t want to live their lives, as mothers and fathers, in married couples with their children. Why do so many prefer to be terminally single? Do that many people have such high standards for a mate that nobody they meet can meet those standards?
Do that many people just prefer to live alone and don’t want to live with anyone else?
And for women in particular, do many women fear losing their identity or losing their independence if they would marry a man?
And for both men and women, do they really see children as a burden in life?
Generally, they're the first generation of divorced parents.
So they realize that the business of marriage is a racket (or at least in USA).
For many women, they are looking for a guy who's 6/6/6 (six feet tall, have six-pack abs, and make over six figures).
Zero Hedge did an article about a week ago. Saying that Republican families will have 2.0 babies and Democrats will have 1.2. We have had 67 million abortions since 1973.. 30% of those babies are black babies. Homosexuals do not have children and transgender do not have children and this group predominantly votes Democrat. Republican women considered having a family number two on their list of things to accomplish. While democratic women considered it number 12. Demographics eventually becomes destiny.
