A lot of people are depressed in the wake of Zohran Mamdani's victory in the New York City mayor's race. Perhaps they are thinking short term. In the long term, his victory will just speed up the Democrat party collapse as, in the French Revolution, they eat their own. It's bound to happen and sooner rather than later. However, the biggest upside to Mamdani's victory is that his win inspired an HILARIOUS meme in the form of some very angry New York person screaming and cursing about Curtis Sliwa splitting the vote leading to the defeat of Andrew Cuomo. Check out this guy's angry rant because it sure gives off strong Sam Kinison vibes. I'm guessing that his anger will end up inspiring at least a thousand memes. And we might as well start the ball running with the comparison to Sam Kinison.

Neither Sliwa nor Cuomo dropping out would have mattered —
The America-hating, Israel-hating Moslem Socialist Democrat got 50.5 of the vote.
A bunch of stupid voters just crapped on New York City!

Still, if Sliwa dropped out over a month ago like he should’ve and there were only two in the race people who didn’t get out and vote might’ve seen it was possible to defeat Mamdani and voted. I do wonder that.
I miss that little guy. I love that smile when he was about to go ape when singing Are you lonesome tonight.

Less than 1.5 million voted.
Nothing was going to significantly change the outcome with such weak voter turnout.
With that said, if the overwhelming majority of New York City dwellers don't care about who gets elected, why should I?
The only thing I care about is President Trump DEFUNDING New York City.
Let Mamdani figure out how he's going to provide all the "free stuff" he promised, as long as everyone who lives OUTSIDE of NYC isn't paying for it, why should I care?
Let them all rot, I say.
Mamdani got over 50% of the vote. The split didn’t matter. He won because NYC is now chuck full of foreigners that hate America. We are being colonized by our enemies.
There lies the problem. New York is "too big to fail". They will come with their hand out begging for money.
New Yorkers are going to rue the day they did this to themselves!
Hopefully, a kiss of death for the Democrat Party!

I respectfully disagree and think FReeper Beowulf9 may be right. The non Mad-mani voters may have stayed at home thinking there's no way they'd win with a 3-way vote (combined with rank choice voting BS). But if one had dropped out early they might have been enthused to vote (and more than 1.5 million would have voted).
There's no more "could've, would've, should've" anymore. Election's over.
