There have been at least five bomb threats made at schools and polling locations across New Jersey on Election Day, prompting closures. New Jerseyans head to the polls on Tuesday to elect their next governor after a tough race between Democrat Mikie Sherrill and GOP nominee Jack Ciattarelli.

Polling locations at School 2 and School 10 in Patterson were shut down after the bomb threats were received. There were other locations that also got bomb threats, according to News 12 New Jersey.

Threats have been sent to at least 7 counties, including in Bergen County, Essex County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Ocean County. Passaic County.

In Hackensack, police said that a high school employee reported that there was a safety threat a little before 6 am, leading to a K9 unit conducting a sweep of the site. Polls reopened at that location about 7:30 am.

Police in Ridgewood also said that there was a bomb threat made at Somerville Elementary, leading to a closure of the public schools in the city. However, the building are open for voting.

Officials closed down Avanel Middle School as a result of “an active law enforcement investigation” in Middlesex County. Voters were relocated to Woodbine Avenue Elementary School. There was a polling location in Lake Como that was also moved because of a similar threat. The mayor of Passaic, Hector Lora, said there were also threats in his city.

This is a developing story. Please refresh for updates.

I live in downstate Illinois and voted in person during the 2024 election. I arrived at the polling place early and it ended up being a 2 hour wait to vote in person. Evidently, several counties in the state contracted the same election firm to verify current voters and register new voters on election day. Supposedly, the firm’s servers crashed.

In years past, precinct officials had a signature book on hand and compared signatures before issuing the paper ballot. There was no contingency plan other than waiting for servers coming back on line.

Have you ever been to Paterson?

Lol.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paterson,_New_Jersey

“Paterson had 52 distinct ethnic groups in 2014.[85]

By 2020, Paterson had the second-largest Muslim population in the United States by percentage.[25]

Paterson’s rapidly growing Bangladeshi American,[86] Turkish American, Arab American,[87] Albanian American, Bosnian American, Dominican American, and Peruvian American communities are among the largest and most prominent in the United States, the latter owing partially to the presence of the Consulate of Peru.[88]

Paterson’s Muslim population has been estimated at 25,000 to 30,000.[1]

Paterson has become a prime destination for one of the fastest-growing communities of Dominican Americans, who have become the city’s largest ethnic group.[89]

The Puerto Rican population has established a highly significant presence as well.[90]”

Well...maybe. That was my first thought. I wonder if late ballots will ne accepted from those areas. Can’t hurt to have s bunch of Dem votes held in reserve, for counting as needed. But wait! We found more!

Don’t bet on it.

If Deep State’s base still voted in lockstep with its masters then Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections, would it.

Donald Dems are a thing.

And Deep State knows that very, very well.

Lol.

Fair enough...

Just stay out of Paterson. The best way to learn about it is to watch Cops on TV. They show lots of “action” in Paterson.

I wonder what percentage of actual bombings are preceded by threats? I would guess it’s very low.

Find the perpetrators, arrest them, put them on trial, convict, and sentence to life in prison.

“can non-citizens vote in NJ?”

In Democrat controlled precincts in Paterson they probably can...

This does speak of vote suppression. How about Black Panthers prowling before certain other precincts, with batons which they keep smacking in their opened palm, to assure the “right” voters get through, and the “suspect” voters are properly intimidated?

Can’t be letting them escape the plantation, you know.
