There have been at least five bomb threats made at schools and polling locations across New Jersey on Election Day, prompting closures. New Jerseyans head to the polls on Tuesday to elect their next governor after a tough race between Democrat Mikie Sherrill and GOP nominee Jack Ciattarelli.
Polling locations at School 2 and School 10 in Patterson were shut down after the bomb threats were received. There were other locations that also got bomb threats, according to News 12 New Jersey.
Threats have been sent to at least 7 counties, including in Bergen County, Essex County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Ocean County. Passaic County.
In Hackensack, police said that a high school employee reported that there was a safety threat a little before 6 am, leading to a K9 unit conducting a sweep of the site. Polls reopened at that location about 7:30 am.
Police in Ridgewood also said that there was a bomb threat made at Somerville Elementary, leading to a closure of the public schools in the city. However, the building are open for voting.
Officials closed down Avanel Middle School as a result of “an active law enforcement investigation” in Middlesex County. Voters were relocated to Woodbine Avenue Elementary School. There was a polling location in Lake Como that was also moved because of a similar threat. The mayor of Passaic, Hector Lora, said there were also threats in his city.

Here we go...
All closed locations are likely to be those of strong republican turnout.
Not surprising. Need an excuse to keep certain voting precincts open after hours in order to see how many votes need to be changed/created.
Oh look. The side that espouses violence for political motives is trying to shut down democracy. Shocking, right?
Dims up to their old voter suppression tactics.
Who didn't know that this old play would come out of the demonRAT playbook.
When ever a pubbie is getting close to an election day victory, shut down the polls, machine break downs, bomb threats, kill the electricity, shut off the water... whatever will discourage pubbie voters.
There isn't enough space for me to vent my hate for demonRATs, and if I expressed my dark thoughts, the fibbies would be kicking in my door.
Fix is in. The leftists will rig this one too
Oh My you democrats
All closed locations are likely to be those of strong republican turnout.......YUP! Same as in Maricopa where the voting machines were non functional for hours.
Dems stage operation Republican Chaos every election year.
Anything to keep the polls open until the RATS can generate enough votes
Dirty rotten scoundrels! There is no bar too low for democrats!
Patterson is far from red. It’s Palestine on the Passaic. I think it’s more about counting the fake votes without any prying eyes.
New Democrat “stop the vote” scheme.
“more about counting the fake votes without any prying eyes”
That is my read as well.
That’s because they’re unholy abominations, the demonrats.
They threw in Patterson as a distraction to make it look like an equal opportunity bomber.
This is to discourage what will be the last group of Republicans voting in person on Election day.
And to top it off the Commie Mamdani is blaming Trump for the bomb threats.
Countywise, Bergen, Essex, Mercer and Middlesex are Kamala Kountry. Ocean, Passaic and Monmouth went for Trump.
There are a few, like Fetterman, who are still reasonable to some degree, but for the most part, yeah, pure evil.
Coincidentally all are GOP strongholds.
