The National Firarms Tax for short barreled rifles and shotguns, for silencers/suppressors and any other weapons, has been reduced to zero. The law takes effect on 1 January, 2026.

That $200 transfer tax translates to $4,921.21 today.
It was intended to punish and virtually prohibit ownership of the taxed items.
