Chandra Hooper-Barnett, an award winning black principal, lost her job after her controversial statements about the academic performance of black students. Will her departure help, or hurt, these black students?

All students will suffer from her departure, as she exhibited the rare capability to find the true issue, call it out, and challenge the students to change the situation. Some of the students spoken to may be incapable of doing better, but I suspect that the majority can (and should, if only for themselves) improve their performance.
Their loss, not hers. Some other place will take her and those students will remain deficient.
To quote James Earl Jones in “Soul Man”, “You will get no special treatment from me, Mr. Watson. Do you hear me? No special treatment. And that means, if you have to work twice as hard as these little white s___s, then you damn well better work twice as hard.”
Yep! Liberals need to stop telling blacks they can't perform and encourage (demand?) equal performance. Blacks should embrace equality.

Yup,quite a performance...some years ago. I wonder what kind of blowback he got from black people...or white “progressives”. It’s easy to imagine that it was pretty substantial from both sides.
I’m sure most of the blowback came from the white liberals. White liberals believe they know what’s best for ‘oppressed peoples’.
Blacks in America have a culture problem.
Like most populations they have an intelligence
“Bell curve”. It does not match most Europeans, and definitely lags eastern Asian peoples.
Those differences are cultural not racial.
My personal experience, not that it matters,
is I’m willing and have stepped out of my culture
to advance.
Many blacks I’ve worked with, will not do that.
They are afraid to lose the “shuck and Jive”
crowd.
I spent years working for and with orientals
Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos,
Vietnamese, et al.
I’m descended from Polish Jews and English.
I had no problem adapting to very different
Social expectations.
We have very few Black people where
I live in Hawaii.
They won’t/can’t adapt.
I worked at a world class observatory. People
from most every nation on earth worked at or
used its facilities.
A job opening came up that ideally suited
a Black man that I had worked with at Boeing
for twenty years.
He was in a situation financially, emotionally,
and physically where he needed a new job,
life style change and
could make those changes, freely with no
negative impact to family or friends.
He refused to even consider leaving
his ghetto.
Y’all can’t fix stupid.
Many of these teaching awards are meaningless they are handed out like the Obama Nobel Prize. Just agenda driven no merit. The principals load up the quality teachers with all the extra responsibilities and problem kids.
