The Secret Gold Network That Controls Nations
Economy Rewind ^ | 21/10/25

There’s a gold empire hiding in plain sight. Not in history books. Not in museums. But right now — operating in secret, controlling more wealth than most nations.

This is the story of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) — the mysterious institution in Basel, Switzerland, that acts as the central bank of central banks. Created after World War I, it quietly became the world’s most powerful financial entity — managing the hidden gold that backs nations, funds wars, and shapes the global economy.

From Nazi gold transactions to Bretton Woods, to modern gold manipulation through paper markets, the BIS has operated in shadows for nearly a century — beyond laws, beyond governments, and beyond public scrutiny.

Once you understand how this hidden gold empire works, you’ll see why your money, your savings, and your entire financial reality are built on secrets they never wanted you to uncover.

Because history doesn’t just repeat — it compounds. And gold has always been the center of power.

It seems to me we are closer to the end of gold than ever before. Either (1) someone invents a molecular machine that can fabricate gold (would take a lot of energy, so would have to be made economical), or (2) The first mining ships start digging on asteroids to retrieve gold. Asteroid 16 Psyche is estimated to contain $700 quintillion in minerals, including hundreds of billions or trillions in gold and platinum. This would reduce the value of Earth gold by 90%.

It seems that cryptos like Bitcoin are the only things that could ever retain their value, since their total numbers are capped.

the smartest thing to do would be to buy the US gold mines.

Someone always brings up mining gold from asteroids. I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

First, there is the cost to get a mining operation into space.
Second, there is the cost of getting it back here to Earth, which would be, well, astronomical.
Third, there has been a lot of talk about returning men to the moon since George W. Bush, but it never goes anywhere. Our space program is a mess compared to the 1960s when we first went.
They are still talking about it now, but Elon is more interested in Mars, and I seriously doubt that the US government is going to get us there by 2026 like they are saying.

I watch a lot of space flight news and there is one delay after another.

Just buy your gold now, here on Earth, and hold it.

Gold is a little too expensive for my taste. I’m happy with silver.

Gold can be created by neutron bombardment of mercury to transmute it into gold. The most efficient way to do that on a commercial scale would be to incorporate circulating mercury into the design of a fusion reactor. Gold could then be separated out by boiling off the mercury.

In addition, the commercial mining of nodules and mineral rich sands from the sea floor is close to beginning in earnest. Plausibly, this may increase the supply of gold, silver, and other precious metals.

Yes, they’ll retain their status as worthless.

Tulips had more value.

Yeah, funny how all of that talk about an audit of Fort Knox just faded away.
I wonder if it's because we have less gold in there than people think, or more.

What's your reason for thinking we have more?

Buy gold if you like, but buy equal quantities of BTC. You will thank me later.

gold trading represents an infinitesimal portion of global financial transactions ... oil transactions alone dwarfs gold transactions ...
