X (U. S. Treasury) ^

Posted on 10/03/2025 1:28:01 PM PDT by TigerClaws

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach

@TreasurerBeach No fake news here. These first drafts honoring America’s 250th Birthday and @POTUS are real.

Looking forward to sharing more soon, once the obstructionist shutdown of the United States government is over

Where can I get a pair of loafers with a slot that will take the new Trump Dollar coin? Penny loafers won’t take anything that big!

Will be odd optics. Everyday the dollar loses value. The Trump dollar coin will be the new symbol of that.

I see nothing indicating if it will be a silver dollar or a slug made of base metal.

I thought the rule was that you don’t get to be on money or stamps until you’re dead (?)

Nothing will annoy libs more!

Nothing will give me more glee than thinking of 50 million of these jingling in libs’ pockets.

That law applies to circulating coins only, not commemorative coins. Presumably, the Trump coin would be a commemorative issue.

I think I’d rather have a separate, circulating coin for the 250th.

It’s only a dollar, but it carries twenty dollars worth of symbolism.

Print all the commemorative coins you want. Leave the money alone.

Except that we need a new $500 and a new $1000 bill.
I’m tired of counting all those damned “C” notes, every time I buy or sell an expensive item.
