Sheila Jackson Lee said the same thing about whatever college she attended. Or enrolled in anyway.

Affirmative action in the very beginning was for people entirely equally qualified. Depends upon when she might have benifitted.

“Affirmative action in the very beginning was for people entirely equally qualified.”

May we see the data on that?

By that logic, everyone who called for the resignation of Claudine Gay were racist even though she plagiarized her thesis and faked her data.

That was the story. The longer it went on, the more “unequal” it became. The idea of “equaly qualified” is very difficult to measure in practice.

There is a tremendous amount of subjective sense in hiring.

I wouldn’t mind affirmative action as much if its beneficiaries caught up.

Get through college, you shouldn’t need affirmative action for medical school.

Get hired, do your apprenticeship years, get your promotions without recourse to affirmative action.

You parents benefitted, they’re solid middle class, no more affirmative action.

It’s the eternal thumb on the scales over and over that bothers me.

Yes. The DEI agenda has tried to insulate any “black” woman of note as off limits to any kind of criticism. To the DEI agenda no “black” woman of note can be criticized, period, and doing so is automatically “racist”. BUT that DEI dictate, in its pure hypocrisy, did not apply to a “black” woman who is a Conservative. Being a Conservative they lose their immunity to criticism.

“Affirmative action in the very beginning was for people entirely equally qualified”

That was never true.

It certainly wasn’t true in 1968. It certainly wasn’t true in 1972. It wasn’t true when Bakke didn’t get into medical school in 1978.

It was never true.

Kamala Harris, Jasmine Crockett, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Sunny Hostin…. How do these women get into law school much less graduate and pass the bar? Unless they are somehow hiding their intelligence. I would add both the Obamas to that list.

And I wonder whom Harvard bumped to make room for Reid.

“... Joy Reid only got into Harvard because of affirmative action.”

Show me where Charlie Kirk was wrong in that assessment. THE ONLY “RACIST” HERE WAS THE ADMISSIONS OFFICIAL. Merit was never a consideration.

Caucasians and Asians need not apply.

Joy Reid is a racist because she said “white men are too mediocre to create things.” Reid hates all whites, but colors her hair blonde to look like a white woman.

I once came close to losing my job at the hospital I work in because I asked a question at one of these “DEI’’ seminars.

This black woman was yapping on for what seems hours when I interrupted her and said “Madame you've been going on for nearly two hours to the point of tedium telling us ‘’We're all equal and diversity is our strength'' So my question was "If we're all equal how is diversity our strength?'' That bought everything to a sudden silence and me thinking "Way to go dude. You and that big mouth of yours just cost you your job''. The woman said nothing for several seconds and then just kept talking. I was later told my question was ''inappropriate''.
