What a nice story.
I didn’t know the children of twins are considered half siblings. Interesting to learn that.

“ Sisters Rachel Schmidtberger and Lindsey Denny both gave birth to a son on Tuesday”
I understand what this sentence is trying to convey, but it reads like the worked together to birth a son. There are better ways to write this. I wonder if there are still editors employed in the world.

No there are no editors any longer.
News organizations have cut back in recent years. Nobody proofreads or edits anything before it’s published.
To: Vermont Lt
“both gave birth to sons” maybe?

Yes, the word “each” should have been used instead of “both.”
I am so sick of the dreck that passes for writing these days.

The mothers are identical twins so have virtually identical DNA, so the boys should share as much DNA as siblings from the same parents would share.
To: Dilbert San Diego
Genetically, not legally.
Baby Denny (I assume that’s Owen) is not entitled to a share of the Schmidtberger estate.
But since their mothers are identical twins, the two boys have many genes in common.

Well the article said the sisters do everything together. Does that mean “everything?”

At least they aren’t Siamese twins who gave birth to the same baby!
To: DFG
That is a really cool story.
I’m happy for them.
