The return of the Russian battlecruiser Admiral Nakhimov, after 26 years in refit, does not signify a significant change in naval capability, but rather symbolizes the decline of industrial capabilities. Its primary role will likely be symbolic “show-the-flag” cruises, not high-end combat. However, its status as a high-profile emblem of Russian power raises a provocative new question: Could it become a target for Ukraine’s daring special operators, similar to past attacks on the Nordstream pipeline or Russian bomber bases?

They don’t make battlecruisers like the used to.
That American owned “coffeemaker” factory in Ukraine is still on fire, isn’t it?
There is no war ship in the world that cannot be destroyed.
> 26 years in refit <
That almost seems like a misprint. So I just looked it up. By golly, it’s right. I know haste makes waste, but 26 years? Wow.
I guess the comment about the decline of Russian industrial capabilities explains it all.
There is no war ship in the world that cannot be destroyed.
Ten cans of RustOlium Rust Remover spray would sink the old tub, just spray and walk away.
SEEM'S TOP HEAVY...............
It will not be delivered to the Russian Navy until 2026 at the earliest. Currently it is in the White Sea.
It would have to fight its way into the Black Sea for Ukraine to attack it, starting a major war.
So no. Not happening. This story is typical for an FR pimped blog, and according to FR rules - if they mean anything anymore - should not be posted. Its not a legitimate military reporting site - just a bunch of click bait articles.
Battlecruiser Admiral Knock-Him-Off................
Sounds like we drafted the Ukrainians, again. Great lab test though as long someone else dies fighting in our wars.
.
I would have renamed the ship.
Knock-Him-Off is just tooo easy..............
Sink the tug first! Then you can have at it piecemeal.
Im not aware of it if the Ukes have anything capable of attacking a target in the White sea.
Their navy did not survive the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Sink the Nakhimov and they sink the Harry S Trumam, fair enough?
We won’t have to. It will probably capsize all on it’s own..................
I think these guys will get the same attention at the end of the war that the Cossacks got from the Red commissars.
And many of the same kind of people will betray them.
I agree. They are trying to build new warships, however, they are also trying to win the Ukraine war. Good luck.
