You might want to reformat that post. It’s impossible to interpret.
See my post next in line...............
The guy took off while the officer told him to wait until the tickets were done.
He should not have been driving if he was that incapacitated.
Why did the family and the state let him continue to drive with mental issues?
The cop seemed justified with his tickets and handcuffs, but he could have toned down the language.
Fired isn’t enough ... he’ll just get hired in the next town/county over. His LEO certification also needs to be terminated ... he needs to find another line of work.

thanks for the transcript.
And citation , of course dropped….
Cop was out of control and he had to call for backup? I suspect he was hoping for cover from his homies who showed up.
He deserved to be fired.
As a side note, he claimed the elderly man was speeding, but we don't know how fast. This was a bullshit stop. This was clearly a rural, dirt county road and the cop was looking for someone to bust.
I’ll say it again...
This old fart should NOT BE DRIVING!!!!!! Officer lost his temper, other than that he was justified in his actions. Being 81 and having had a stroke DOES NOT give you the right to speed and leave a legal traffic stop without permission. It SHOULD get you your drivers license REVOKED! The bleeding heart news media and the rest of you bleeding heart commenters are WRONG!
The officer should NOT have been fired. A reprimand for losing his temper/patience would/should have been sufficient. The days of coddling law breakers should be over.
Just like the news media, you LEFT OUT the original stop!!!!!
The old fart didn’t pull over right away when the officer lit him up.
THEN the old fart TOOK OFF while the officer was writing his ticket.
Fleeing and eluding anyone???
Or was it just that this old fart was too mentally and or physically impaired to be driving AT ALL.
Sigh.
Cops are human too, and who knows what kind of day he had coming up to this moment.
Not at all to excuse bad cops, of which there are too many. But one incident does not a bad cop make. Depends on his overall record and if there are other complaints against him.
This driver went way over the line and of all the traffic stop videos I’ve watched, someone taking off during a traffic stop seem to set the cops off the worst.
I couldn’t agree more.
Power mad cops are the reason I’ve become against “the thin blue line”.
Bad cops are allowed by good cops, so yes, one bad apple spoils the whole bunch.
Your "I’ll say it again..."
Only goes to prove your not very good at processing realities, and you're probably a cop with anger issues, just like sparky in the video.
First--I am ABSOLUTELY NOT on the cop's side--he should've been fired, and he should be blacklisted.
HOWEVER--he called for backup because he was gonna take the old guy in to jail, and needed another officer to deal with the guy's vehicle--not because he was afraid.
