PDX Crusade Brings Light to the Darkness
Forests for Oregon ^ | 9/7/25 | bray

Isaiah 33:22 (King James Version) For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.

The PDX Crusade was a bright fire in the darkest place on earth and exploded like sparklers shot at an Antifa rally. It had the feel of the old Billy Graham Crusades which I attended in the old Memorial Coliseum where I came to Christ at 13 years old, so it brought back some old feelings. I got there a couple hours early and was sitting in the second row while the people were doing different chants and attempted the wave. The family next to me were from Albany and have been watching the Athey Creek broadcast for over a year and never seen Brett live. They had two boys around 12 and a little girl around 5 who was cute as can be. She ended up going down to the floor to be saved during the call.

It was quite a bit louder than the old choirs he had, and they did not sing Just as I am during the call, but the love of Jesus was burning bright from the stage and throughout the crowd. The musicians were very good although it was extremely loud like an old Rock Concert with people clapping and worshiping Jesus.

The first musician was Cain who was a country rock band with a man and woman lead singers who really knew how to sing some worship songs which had great lyrics which was the theme of the concert portion.

The first break was with the Oregon Duck football chaplain Matt Belden who spoke of players coming to Christ this year and baptizing 34 of them a couple weeks other. The Holy Spirit is going through the team, and they have become a Christian brotherhood and said someone walking past the players getting baptized in the Willamette River and got baptized too. Just a great testimony as he led off the concert in prayer.

Taya was the second singer, and she had some songs which were very emotional about where do you go when you are lost. She sang songs which told of being separated from Jesus and knowing he is always there to lift you up. She sang of being at the end of her rope and reaching to him when everyone turned their backs.

She gave her testimony of how lonely she was when she wrote her wonderful song. This was a very moving moment in the Crusade. As this was going on you had to wonder if the Moda workers and cameramen were receiving the message.

Pastor Brett Meader came out and gave a message on Light and Darkness speaking to the darkness of Portland which is known around the world for its evil. It was a great message as he spoke to the worship of the earth and trees which is so common in Portland and related it to Adam and Eve worshiping the Tree of Knowledge. This spoke to the worship of the Creation rather than the Creator. He spoke of David and the temptation of lust which took him down, but God forgave both of them.

When he gave the call people began coming down from all over the Rose Garden. In that session there were 2-300 saved which most were High School aged and of the 45,000 which attended the three sessions over 3,000 asked for Jesus to save them and forgive them. Praise God for all of those lives who were changed. They witnessed Moda workers coming to Christ after hearing the message from both the singers and Pastor Brett. This was a bright fire in the darkest corner of the world.

The world is changing and especially America. President Trump has brought God back to the public square without being shamed. People are having their eyes opened to the evil the world has had to endure over the last twenty years and especially the last few. Young men are turning back to the America and faith our parents enjoyed and seem to be having a revival which has even reached Portland, Praise Jesus.

This was better than the Billy Graham Crusade and was similar to the Louis Palou services only indoors. It was an incredible event with the best part being the thousands of Portlanders being saved from the Pagan cult. This may be the spark which lights a forest fire in Oregon which can burn across Portlandia.

Pray for Portland’s Salvation

That’s awesome! It takes courage to work in that mission field. Thanks for sharing the good news!
