TRUE THE BALLOT: Cutting Bad Candidates Off at the Knees
Self ^ | 7/25/25 | Self

For months we have been working on a mechanism whereby American citizens can vote with confidence in any election. True the Ballot has just been launched out of our own pockets to vet candidates before they get on any ballot in the United States.

Think about it. Why would anyone run for office or vote if they were unable to demonstrate fidelity to our founding principles?

We looked at every single candidacy form of the State of Indiana. There are twenty. Not a single one of them asks a candidate about their fealty toward our nation and its principles.

Using Indiana’s format, we crafted a Candidate Filing Examination which ought to be mandatory before any candidate is admitted to a ballot, from President to Dog Catcher.

The results entered into this examination would be published for any and all to see. That way, when you pull the lever for those who are given to run for office, you can do so in the confidence they understand the fundamentals of a constitutional republic.

We are trying to raise $100,000.00 so that we can bring the right people on board, expand, and advertise. The ultimate goal is to make sure there is no guesswork when voting.

It is not about particular policies, upon which we often disagree and debate. It is about a basic understanding of self-governance as our forefathers envisioned it.

We are not in the least ashamed to ask you to donate. Of all people, it is Freepers whom we would welcome as assistants in forwarding this idea with their substance.

The website as it stands is rudimentary at best. Your donations and assistance will serve only to improve the effort both on that, and in making sure every candidate knows we are out to vet them substantially in terms of their fidelity to the Constitution of The United States of America.

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: candidates; constitution; elections; fidelity
We are located in St. Joseph County, Indiana and will use this as our launching point.

There are critical strategies involved, if not more. The first is to make an examination mandatory by law as our CAN-00 form bears out. The second is to monitor every single candidate who applies for candidacy, whether new or incumbent and let them know immediately that they are under scrutiny by a group of citizens who understand what our form of governance is about.

Absolutely crucial to this endeavor is that when True the Ballot exercises its prerogatives with the backing of interested and informed citizens, the candidate knows that our endorsement represents not just us, but you, the people.

Today, dear Freepers, True the Ballot is just one crank living upstairs in South Bend who has had enough of seeing unprincipled people hold public office.
