It doesn’t “fry” the drones. It disables the electronics of the drone. I understand that there are relatively simple computers that run on the paths of fluid rather the paths of electrons. Could be developed as a guidance system for future drones. Why brag about something used in war?

Decades ago I was told that one way to deal with smugglers bringing drugs into the U.S. via small planes was to use existing radar systems to direct a pencil beam to of energy to burn out the aircraft’s electronics and splash them into the gulf.
What if the drones are painted blue?

I don’t believe that we will see the technology to evenly cook a gas station burrito in our lifetime. Directed energy weapons. Gauss guns. Nanotech. But evenly cooked burritos may be beyond our abilities.

I wonder if we’ll hand the technology over to China in the usual way, by using it in Ukraine. Hopefully not, as I HOPE that Trump’s people understand that military secrets are better when, well, they’re kept SECRET.
