Mike Johnson Reveals More Trump Megabills Are Coming in Order to Fix Biden’s ‘Mess’

House Speaker Mike Johnson said Sunday on Fox Business that Republicans plan to bring more reconciliation bills and rescission packages to the floor within the coming year to help President Donald Trump achieve his “America First” agenda.

Host of “Sunday Morning Futures” Maria Bartiromo asked the Louisiana Republican about the party’s plans for the future, and Johnson said they’ve been setting up a framework for quite a while.

“We’re implementing a playbook that we designed well over a year ago,” he replied. “About 15 months ago, we began this process, understanding and believing that we would win unified government, that we’d have the White House, the Senate, and the House.”

Johnson added that Republicans have “the responsibility of fixing every metric of public policy that Biden and Harris and the Democrats destroyed over the previous four years,” but they have “multiple steps” to achieve that end.

It’s like sex the 2nd time with a new partner. Much more thorough.

The next 6 months will be more wonderful now that the novelty is secondary.

The GOPe has only two choices:

1) Lose the House: Do nothing but spend other people’s money and increase the debt and lose in 2026 like always for doing nothing.

2) Win the House: Reduce spending dramatically and get re-elected in 2026 for doing something.

They’ve got about 120 days before the GOP goes back into their bi-annual complete loss of courage.

Mega bills are the antithesis of MAGA. But then again, so was running interference for the global child sacrificing elites and we know where that went.

I don’t like mega bills. Just pull a Gingrich and start hammering them out one by one.

Exactly, From when OMB sends the package to Congress - the 45 day clock starts to enact the rescission.
IMHO, they will screw up the rescission process intentionally.
This first one is to defund NPR for a pantry $9.5B.
DOGE still has $900B of fraud and waste to get threw Congress to claw back using the rescission process.
Johnson and Thume are near useless.
PDJT got BBB threw.
PDJT will prob have to do all the heavy lifting to get rescission also.

But conservative have never *wanted* mega-bills. We want small single-page single-purpose bills with no nooks and crannies to hide corruption. The mega-bill mentality makes me sick.

Speaker Johnson reinforced that Republicans have “the responsibility to fix every metric of public policy that Biden, Harris and the Democrats worked so hard to destroy over the previous four years.”

Pubs have “multiple steps” to achieve that end.

Single bills will simply be filibustered and stopped by the Dems. Reconciliation bills are the only thing they can be sure to pass because they only require a simple majority. And they need to be mega because there have never been more than two reconciliation bills passed in one single year, so they have to pack as much of their agenda in them as possible because they likely only have two shots for everything.
