Barbara Holmes ’86 was sworn in as a federal magistrate judge at a ceremony October 7, 2015 in Nashville.
Holmes started work as a magistrate judge in August 2015.
He was denied bail before because he posed a threat because of his membership in MS-13.
Since then, MS-13 has been declared a terrorist organization, and he has added tattoos to his knuckles to identify as MS-13. Since then he’s also been charged with human trafficking. Since then we’ve become aware of the domestic abuse claims of his now-wife who allegedly didn’t pursue those because she was threatened. We’ve learned that he broke all the rules governing his driver’s license, which was only supposed to allow him to drive in MD but which he used to traffic illegals all across the country. That license was also expired when he was caught trafficking illegals.
So he was ruled both deportable and ineligible for pre-trial release before, but now that we’ve found even more evidence that he is a lawless, violent thug and a liar, a magistrate judge has decided he should go scot free.
I say another judge should say he should be held in confinement in the magistrate judge’s home and with a non-removable chip to monitor his location.

What fries me about this (or at least one of the things that fries me) is that the “family and community support” is given as the reason to think that he will not be a danger and will show up for trial. What this judge fails to acnowledge is that the support he gets is FOR HIS LAWLESSNESS. His “community and family supporters” are just as likely to urge him to go into hiding or do whatever it takes to evade justice - just as they tried so hard to use judges and courts to allow him to evade justice. The “family and community support” he had now is the reason to NOT let him walk free, because that community is Hell-bent on having him never face justice.

Allowing the democrats to have so much lee-way in appointing unqualified federal and magistrate judges, when the GOP often had the numbers to stop them, was a big big mistake.
Bull Crap. Ignore this judge. In fact, the President should make an announcement that this judge will be held personally responsible for any crimes or the disappearance of this individual criminal.
Trump should make clear this is no different from hustling an illegal thru the side chambers door out of a courthouse.
Additionally, Trump should have DOJ arrest and prefer charges exactly as the ones filed against the judge who let the illegals out of the courthouse.
