Social Security Panic has been going on since I was a kid in the ‘60s, I thought I would never get a penny of it. But I have been collecting it now for 8 years, And expect to until I croak.

There is no Medicare income cap. Actually, if your income goes above a certain amount they add to your total contribution percentage.

There is a social security income cap.

The contribution rate has been increasing, when my old boss who retired in 1995 he started out contributing about $3 a year to social security, so his total contributions were a very small fraction of his benefit, even taking into account inflation.

I USED TO WORK FOR SOCIAL SECURITY. PASSED PROBATION. QUIT BECAUSE OF THE ABSOLUTE LAZINESS ON THE PART OF BLACK EMPLOYEES AND ALMOST NO INVESTIGATION OF FRAUD. COULDN'T STAND IT ANY MORE. I don't think there IS a cap for Medicare. If you drop Medicare altogether, many of the retirees would easily qualify for Medicaid. Not to mention the problem of taking it away from people who paid in through their working years.

I had a friend who was once assigned to the SS disability department. She had to follow the guidelines and give people the money even though she knew they were not entitled to it. She quit after about a year.
