I could ask how Israel pulled of the most amazing and sophisticated attacks and yet missed Oct 7 but the United States missed 9/11. Our 20 year war against the Taliban to give it back to the more improved Taliban is not sophisticated. Iraq was a waste but we built one hell of an embassy.
Friends and I were riding in a taxi in Tel Aviv, and the grizzled old Jewish taxi driver just launched on all things security oriented. After 15 minutes of really interesting rants demonstrating huge insider knowledge, with us approving, he says, “For all the amazing successes of the Israeli security teams, the public only knows 1%.
