BORIS JOHNSON: Starmer's leading the most abject and craven British government of the past 100 years. They are so weak they make Neville Chamberlain look positively robust
The Daily Mail ^ | 13 Jun 2025 | Boris Johnson

As they pounded the Iranian nuclear facilities yesterday, the Israelis were finally doing what so many Western leaders had expected they would do for years, if not decades.

In fact, let us be honest: the rest of the world has not just been expecting this Israeli action. Secretly or openly, many governments have been hoping for it.

In one astonishing operation the Israelis crippled the Natanz enrichment reactor and seriously damaged two others. They took out six of the most important Iranian nuclear scientists, as well as an astonishing array of the country’s top brass.

They blew up radars and smashed early warning systems and destroyed anti-aircraft arrays – so that Iran will be even more vulnerable to the next attack; and in some cases it is obvious that the Israelis were getting help from inside Iran. We don’t yet know how badly they have retarded the Iranian nuclear programme – but we know this.

The Israelis are finally making a concerted attempt to halt Tehran’s race to the Bomb – and they are right to do so: for the sake of their own country and the world. It was only the previous day that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) blew the whistle on Iran. For the first time in 20 years, the agency ruled that Tehran was in flagrant violation of its obligations not to enrich uranium, under the terms of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The IAEA produced new and shocking evidence of the speed with which they were producing the stuff of warheads, and the places it was being made. The Iranians were so advanced in their preparations, said the agency, that they could go into the final sprint – with a viable device only months away.

Yes...but unfortunately, Boris Johnson, your squandering that large majority and governing like Labour is why they are now in power and the Conservative party fell apart and may very become a small minor party.

Cameron won Parliament outright (something I predicted in open thread, btw, and got ridiculed for it), but he didn’t support Brexit, the British voters DID, and he found himself suffering from lawfare, decided to bail.

Boris attempted to get the nod as his successor. The UK deep stater anti-Brexit faction arranged to keep him out of the PM job, appointing an anti-Brexiteer who (illegally) obstructed the implementation.

After she was finished, Boris finally got the job, found himself stymied by the anti-Brexit a-holes, who then made sure he was knocked out, and probably in the process destroyed the Tories for years to come (always dance with the one whut brung ya).

His successor was a useless cipher.

The next PM may be a recently knighted jihadist wannabee.

I swear Starmer is on the spectrum.

Dear land, he’s weird. And dangerous.

I have been watching some WW2 documentaries. I wonder if Chamberlain knew the UK was not ready to face Germany. The British needed more time to build their radar system.
It’s possible that Chamberlain swapped the Checks for time to re arm

If so he was a cold blooded SOB

This Neville Chamberlain stuff is absolutely a fetish. Every foreign policy question is the Sudtenland leads to Czechoslovakia leads to concentration camps and human mass extermination. No question is unique, why complicate a negotiation by the facts.

You are leaving out the election after Boris Johnson got the job where the majority dramatically increased to the same sizes they had not had since Thatcher.

He “got Brexit done” but personally squandered any other opportunities for reforms and was beyond just being “Labour-Lite”. Liz Truss was more conservative, but incompetent to handle a top leadership position (not to mention the back benches weren’t going to help her pass the agenda), then they decided to just go “full Labour” again with the replacement for Truss. They lost big as a result...vote split down the middle with reform and you got a massive Labour majority despite them only getting 33.7% of the vote.

This from the guy who convinced Ukraine to continue fighting instead of accepting the peace deal offered to them in 2022.

Besides his own. Boris should be hanging from a lamppost by his broken neck, not writing a column.

“This from the guy who convinced Ukraine to continue fighting instead of accepting the peace deal offered to them in 2022.”

That was the thing, Russia was ready to FULLY leave Ukraine (other than Crimea) in 2022...but that still wasn’t good enough for the Neocons (BJ being one of them, of course). Zelensky’s rep (later assassinated) even INITIALED the deal, and 3 years later here we are, with Odessa being next to be added to Russia’s booty.
