Neither Russia or Ukraine will be allowed to end this war.

The war will end when Putin decides to end the war.

Ukraine will cease to exist before it gets into NATO.

There is no chance the Russians will tolerate that.

All three need to go. First one, Biden, is gone. Z and P need to both go as well.

They could always merge with Poland or Hungary and get NATO membership that way

Asking Poland to merge with Ukraine is like asking dogs to merge with cats. They don't want to be united with each other, even if they have a common opponent.

Last time Hungary was united with another country, it was the locus of WWI. Let's not repeat that.

Once the historic lands are returned to their rightful owners, rump Ukraine will become another semi-autonomous region within the Russian Federation...and the dream of Bandera will be stamped out forever.

Ukraine will never get into NATO as long as the US is part of NATO. Without us there is no NATO.

This "Ukraine" is absolutely a creation of the modern Deep State just as Jumper pointed out. The area and peoples you refer to as Ukraine have been a mix of many ethnicities and cultures, dominated and owned over the centuries by the Mongols, the Poles, then the Russian Empire, The Soviet Union, then the Russians again.

Study a little more history. The Ukrainian people may have been ruled by different empires but their identity as a unique people goes back centuries. After the Mongol invasion they emerged as a separate people from the Moscovite Russians, Belarusians, and Poles. Their connection with the Russians began in the 17th century when, under Polish rule, they sought protection by Moscow. Originally an autonomous vassal state under the Tsar, they were incorporated into Russia only under Catherine the Great. A national Ukrainian movement rose in the 19th century. They declared independence in 1917 with the fall of the Tsar. So strong was the Ukrainian national identity that when it was conquered by the Bolsheviks in 1921 Lenin had to join it to Russia as a constituent state of the newly formed Soviet Union, rather than annexing it Russia directly. Today the Ukrainians have a strong sense of national identity, which is why they are resisting the Russians so strongly. Denial of this identity by Russian nationalists and pseudo-intellectuals will not make it go away.

The land belong to who are now the ethnic majority. Russia has no more historical claim to these lands than it does to Finland, Poland, the Baltic states, and other former historical lands.

Wrong. The Soviets took parts of Poland, Hungary Romania and Russia and gave then to the Ukraine Socialist Republic.

Those lands will be returned as part of a grand settlement with the West once the Kiev regime capitulates.

The people living on those lands will have to choose between accepting their new government or leaving. Most will stay (imo) and those who leave will be replaced with others who want the form of government the land was ceded to.

If you want NATO/EU then move to the place(s) that have it...but there will be no Nazi-kinder homeland, Banderistan will exist only in Siberian gulags.

Those parts were part of the Russian Empire until WWI. At one time all of Ukraine was part of Poland. Prior to that Moscow belonged to Kyiv. And at one point Moscow belong to the Mongols. What is the magical date to say these are the proper lines? Claims of past empires lead to war. What is important is who lives in these lands today. With the exception of Crimea, these lands have majority Ukrainian populations. They are the only ones who have a proper claim to these lands.

They could always merge with Poland or Hungary and get NATO membership that way.. All manner of games can be played were one so inclined.

Poland, Ukraine and whatever Baltic states want to join them, can reestablish the old Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. They may well change the name to the Polish-Lithuanian-Ruthenian Commonwealth, as proposed as early as 1658 by The Treaty of Hadiach, or it could just be the Polish-Ukrainian Commonwealth. While the modern thought in Europe is that Europe should create its own army, the countries that border Russia have a common interest in solidarity against Russian aggression. They would be wise to develop nukes, since the Budapest Memorandum proved the folly of any nation giving up its nukes. Ukrainian decommissioning its nukes resulted in the largest, bloodiest war in Europe since WWII.

The replacement would be Ukraine military officers.

And nobody fights if they have no food. Those officers would be the source of food. Technocracy is governance for function, not policy.

There's nothing "magical" about restoring the boundaries to where they were before the Bolshevik revolution. Other adjustments may need to be made, but this would make an excellent starting point.

Meaningless map. With the exception of Crimea all those territories have Ukrainian majorities. That is all that matters, not the boundaries of past empires.

So explain, minus the west interference in Ukraine, how they managed all by themsleves to decide to start arming to the teeth and killing Russians in their midst?

The idea that hundereds of years of coexistance would blossum into the kind of hate without the coup. The reason Ukraine MUST keep the children already taught the hate from Battle is to keep the hate alive. These kids will live and breath the hate indroctrinated into them the rest of their 80 year lives. The old were luck warm at best but with the average of a AFU soldier is now over 46, two goals have been accomplished - no Ukrainian soldiers died of the official version.

Hate is the number one Profession of Politicans today - our DNC under Obama was not ready for World Consumption.

You are a product of the Hate. You have a bunch of BS pumped between your ears, lots of hear-say facts to justify the formation of your Hate, by your media. It is hard to Hate a whole country of People, but somehow this affliction from Europe and our DNC shows WITHOUT GOD mankind becomes just another animal to be harnessed and used by their Socialist overlords.

Hate used to be personal - the west has done a great disservice to itself and mankind with the EUropean Hatred.

Russia essentially killed 90% of the German Army in WWII and we have never forgiven them.

As for arming themselves, the fact that Russia had occupied three of their provinces and the need to subdue all of Ukraine was being taught in their military academies might have something to do with. As for "killing Russians in their midst," this did not happen. It is pure Russian propaganda. Do not fall for it.

You are a product of the Hate.

Hate? What hate? I have much admiration for Russia and wish them peace and prosperity. All that I ask is that they live within their own borders and not seek to subjugate their neighbors. Is this hate?
