I was on my way to the store this afternoon to pick up beer and ice cream for my Picanha BBQ party tomorrow waiting for the light to change at the corner of Pine Island and Commercial in Broward County. Suddenly I spotted a car making a left turn knock a kid off his bike. After a few suspenseful seconds in which I could not see the kid who was on the pavement, he finally got up apparently unharmed but not exactly happy. At this point I started recording the scene on my cell camera. Ultimately, although I wasn't sure at the time due to the distance, the kid got on his bicycle and went on his way. I magnified the final scene later to make sure that was what happened.
On my way back from the store, with this incident on my mind, I was ultra careful about my driving. The main thing is for everybody to be on the alert for situations like this while driving.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Theres prob a govt camera that has the whole incident recorded
Thank goodness.
I knocked a kid off his bike once......well, a teenager. It was late dusk, going on full dark, and two kids wearing dark cloths were riding home.
I stopped at a stop sign, carefully looked both ways, right-left-right, and started moving. Suddenly, there was a bicycle directly in front of me, coming from the right. I stomped on my brake, and actually stopped in time, but the guy was so close, he turned left to avoid me and over-turned into my door and fell down.
He only had scrapes and bruises from his fall, and a good scare. This was mid-seventies, so he turned down my offer to drive him home, and promised to get off the streets before it got so dark in the future.
Curse that SUV! How dare it!
This is nice. Perhaps there are some playground accidents we could fill the bandwidth with. I heard that Spike is hogging the swing at Lincoln Elementary. And pulling Lulu’s ponytail
Was the kid J-walking?
I was sitting at a stop sign when a bicycle crashed into the side of my car. He had come off the sidewalk at a very fast speed. He was hurt, but no serious injuries.
In Broward County, FL? You can bet on it.
Maybe because it didn’t happen in Broward ???
Laundry lint in one’s navel IS a major story... IF it happens in Broward County.
Did the car do it on its own or did the driver do it?
It was the car according to the headline so I’ll say yup. Lol.
