NEW: Police release bodycam footage showing a suspect stealing a female officer's gun, leaving the officer begging for her life.
Embarassing.
The incident unfolded in Fountain Valley, California, earlier this year.
Police were initially called in response to a report that 26-year-old Osean McClintock was trying to get into an occupied car.
When officers arrived, McClintock wrestled the gun from the female officer while she was still in her patrol car.
"Please don't shoot me!" the officer begged, as she cried and panted.
Thanks to a nearby male officer, her life was spared.
The other officer shot and k*lled McClintock, who tried stealing the female officer's patrol car as well.

Fountain Valley is in central Orange County, CA, bordering Huntington Beach and Santa Ana.
Too bad he only k*lled the guy. He should have killed him.
A wife of a police officer in a neighboring PD messaged me and stated she doesn’t want her husband to be paired with a female officer.
95 percent of the time anybody can do a LEO’s job.
It is the 5 percent of the job that gets people killed.
During that 5 percent of the time it can take special skills to survive.
A lot of the 5 percent takes size and strength to accomplish that mission.
Most female officers to not of what it takes.
Dead perp and dead link too.
But at least they made their DEI hiring quota. C’mon people - priorities!
We are definitely not in Kansas anymore.
In the immortal words of Inspector Harry Callahan, “That’s a hell of a price to pay for being stylish” True then, true now.
I predict she will be asking for desk duty. Or resigning.
I forgot to use Fountain Valley in the search engine.
Obviously, she should have desk duty or other law enforcement roles such as being detectives.
Common sense. Or it used to be.
Right down the street from Anaheim too. My late aunt lived there when it was wealthy and trendy fifty years ago. My dad and I would visit and go see the Angels.
Really, most sincerely dead!
Female cops. As in the military, women can do office work, dispatching, meter patrol, etc but should not be out facing bad guys. results are this and the other side of it- women are too quick to shoot which is understandable when a 130 pound damsel is facing a 220 pound badass with big knuckles.
That one was hard to watch
Lots of mistakes but it did not look like the guy was trying to kill her.
Her big mistake was drawing her gun and then not shooting when she had the chance.
Tweakers on a cocktail of drugs do the strangest things
God, in both cases the cops were VERY slow to shoot. When he was trying to get the pistol away from her and they were struggling for it, it was aimed right at his belly. She just needed to pull the trigger...
And then when the male cop caught him standing there armed, they were way slow to shoot.
The cops in that town are cowed.
Shoot...
