No doubt. And Tibet and Xianjian will probably have an uprising, too, bolstered by out-of-work graduates and defrauded land speculators. But Taiwan will know it’s been in a fight, also no doubt. Their main assets are microchips and cheap labor, and microchips are made in factories, so they’re vulnerable.

The sensitive expensive machines are all wired to explode in case of an invasion. China will get nothing technology wise if they invade.

“ The major obstacle against China attempting to take Taiwan is because it would crash their economy as other nations would end all trade with China (there is nothing China has that can not be gotten from another source).”
————-
They might also have a slight leakage problem from the Three Gorges Dam if they attack Taiwan. Though it is a very robust target, it is quite stationary, and there is no secret about exactly where it is located. It is well within the range of Taiwanese missiles, and the Chinese know that they won’t be able to stop Taiwan from breaching the dam if they really want to do so.

Very true! From personal experience, I spent some time there.

The Pakistani government only (sort of!) governs the major cities. Otherwise its a loose conglomeration of tribes, Islamic ideologies, smugglers\gray market crime groups all somewhat overlapping. The Army is the only institution that has national respect & allegiance. (Again that is sort of!) The only thing that’s common across all groups is their hatred of India.

Our ill-fitting “alliance with Pakistan goes back to “Cold War” days. Why? Because India allied itself with the USSR. That goes back to Nehru being a socialist. A Fabian Socialist but still a socialist. Also Nehru had absorbed the upper-crust English distaste for the “socially crude” (In their minds!) USA. The USSR thought they could “leverage” this socialism. The Indian Communist party was very large and very active in the old COMITERN. Stalin’s daughter married an Indian communist. To make a long story short over time India moved toward the free market. Someone there noticed outside of India, Indians are very entrepreneur and do very well outside of collectivism\socialism. They have been moving toward the free market ever since in spite of the drag of the ancient culture & leftover socialism.

India is the future in that region and partner against the PRC. The only reason for any USA engagement with Pakistan is its nuclear weapons. I am not sure that’s even worth it.

India is not going to conquer and rule Pakistan. Absorbing more Muslims is not in its best interest. Pakistan’s best chance ended with the death of Jinnah their Founding Father (Who was an atheist. Something Pakistan conveniently forgets in their reverence for him!)

“ the only thing worse are Russian weapon systems”
——————
Some of them are not, half bad, to be honest. They have also fixed a lot of problems since this war began

However, I saw a very interesting video on YouTube https://youtu.be/NlRd8BR4hYE?si=8MNyLeMusqT0Pkr_ discussing a lot of the weapons that we and the Europeans have given to Ukraine. Mostly what we have done is to empty out our arsenals of obsolete equipment, some built as early as the 1960s, and we have avoided the costs of dismantling and recycling all of their materials. The video explained how immensely effective these weapon systems have been, which makes one wonder how effective our more modern systems are compared to what the Russians have (even with recent improvements).

During WW I, a German government minister asked German Chancellor Theobald von Bethmann Hollweg: “How did this catastrophic war begin?”

Hollweg responded: “Ah, if we only knew.”

Just because a war is ill-advised doesn’t mean it won’t happen

Not necessarily.

This Jewish guy https://www.jstor.org/stable/23880523? arranged the Sino-Russian war because he hated the Czars.

Never forget.

Well, we found we were lied to about Soviet weapons systems in the Gulf Wars. So that should not be surprising.

Jacob Schiff was from Germany. Germans did harbor animosity to the Czars up to and including WW I. With good reason, for that matter. The Czars were a corrupt, inbred, vicious bunch, who took sadistic pleasure in making trouble for the Jews unfortunate to live in their empire, and taxing the living sh!t out of them. Jacob Schiff, for that matter, was a famous philanthropist to whom poor Jewish immigrants, coming from the lands of the Czars to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, would go to for help.

But returning to the issues of why wars start, it was ill-advised for Russia to go to war against Japan. It worked out just peachy for Japan, however. And Jacob Schiff extended favorable loans to Japan. He wasn’t going to help Russia.

So I don’t see the point where I am refuted here. Do explain, please.

America will still have its supply lines of chips disrupted in that case. Smart thing to do is produce some non-tech armor, planes and transport that grease monkeys can keep running the old fashioned way.

Oh, yeah. The assassins were boarding by a Jewish lady, so that was used as a pretext for yet another pogrom. She had to be in on it. And on behalf of the Jooos! So beat up and kill a few of them, rape a few women. Maim a few children. That’ll learn ‘em.

Be fair, though. The Rothchilds financed the side they thought would win the war. JP Morgan financed both sides, and was repaid by both sides.

JD Seligman and Company founded a whole new country because they invested in Panama real estate for the canal when Honduras would have been a better choice. So they had a flag done up and fomented an independence movement in the Colombian province of Panama, and scared everyone about Honduras because it has a volcano. Bad Seligman brothers. Bad Joooos!

But this just proves my point. Wars are started over stupid things, including financiers’ blunders and mis-information.

"Just because a war is ill-advised doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Germany invaded the Soviet Union and also declared war on the US just because Japan did it. Super dumb. ..."

Nonsense.

Hitler originally had planned to invade Russia in the fall of 1940. Which, you might be aware, was before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

But Hitler's staff convinced him (one of the rare occasions when he listened to reason) that it would be hopeless to invade so close to the coming of the Russian winter.

Hitler invaded Russia for "Lebensraum." He'd even calculated they needed to kill 40,000.000 Russians to provide Germans with the space they needed.

In fact, Barbarossa was brilliant plan, and going brilliantly ... until Hitler changed the plan and decided his army was so invincible that he had the luxury of time to halt the march toward Moscow while he divided his armies in an effort to inflict a little personal humiliation on Stalin (at Kiev and Leningrad).

It was prophetic that Marshall Zhukov was made commander of the defense of Moscow on 10 October, because that also was the same day that the Russian winter gave the Wehrmacht a taste of things to come. And Zhukov realized that he didn't have to defeat the Germans, he merely had to hold them off long enough for the Russian winter to do the work for him.

Which wouldn't have happened, if Hitler had stick with the plan.

Reads like you slipped a couple of gears there on 34; but I acknowledge the effort you made to regain your limited range in 35.

However, that aspersion you tossed out there with your bad jooos ploy doesn't help your recovery at all; especially if you can't acknowledge the reasons for the general discomfort with the Jews held by 16th and 17th century natives of eastern and central Europe that started during the 10th century when certain Jewish folk were making it big in the slave trade.

I'm guessing that business was remembered by the European villagers for quite a few more centuries.

Of course, you being familiar with the Rothschildes my mentioning the Sassoon's lock on the opium trade during the 19th century is barely worth mentioning. But I did.

You're almost there with your attempted proof of point. In this case, the stupid things did not include 'financiers’ blunders and mis-information'. It's more like misdirection. They're very good at that because they got a big, HUGE support team.

Hitler invading Russia was not dumb. You’re right he had that well planned and might have won. But declaring war on the US out of misplaced loyalty to Japan after they stupidly bombed Pearl Harbor, that was super dumb. It meant he had to fight a war on two fronts with two very populous countries who were in cahoots with each other and that pain in the A@@ Churchill. Japan should have invaded India and left the US alone. That would have gotten rid of England for Hitler, leaving him to focus on Russia. But noooo! Japan wanted to f@#$ with the bull, and Hitler wanted in on the “fun”. The bull had horns. Hand of G-d making Hitler make stupid mistakes.

Russia and Japan did not clash, even after Hitler invaded Russia. They had a non-aggression pact, you see, even if Hitler just violated it. No two-front wars for them.

China will not go for a D-Day like landing. They will be more covert. They will get what they want by peaceful corruption. BUT, Look to see them land on Islands Taiwan owns—as stepping stones to an invasion. That is what my Ouija Board says.
