China is not prepared for war, let alone invade a island nation.

Japan and WWII should be required reading as well as how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a lesson in itself.

Wars are expensive both in man and material. The major obstacle against China attempting to take Taiwan is because it would crash their economy as other nations would end all trade with China (there is nothing China has that can not be gotten from another source).

The nations surrounding China would be happy to cripple China and take over supplying cheap junk to America.

Pakistan has actually been a dysfunctional state continuously from its inception. Without billions upon billions in aid from the United States over the decades and without it’s partnership with China, Pakistan would have ceased to exist before now.

Just because a war is ill-advised doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Germany invaded the Soviet Union and also declared war on the US just because Japan did it. Super dumb. “And if Japan jumped in the lake, you’d do it, too?” But they did it anyway. Same thing with Russia invading Ukraine with ridiculously unrealistic expectations. They were gonna be greeted as liberators, dontcha know, and it’d all be over in a week or less.

China would invade Taiwan because China’s economy is in the crapper, and Xi Jin Pig is on the ropes. So he’s just gotta invade something, and Taiwan is top of the list.
