A federal judge in New York on Tuesday extended his block on removal of Tren de Aragua gang members facing deportation under the Alien Enemies Act.
US District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, a 91-year-old Clinton appointee, blasted DOJ lawyers during a hearing on Tuesday and accused them throwing people out of the US “because of their tattoos.”
Earlier this month Hellerstein blocked the removal of two alleged Tren de Aragua gang members in New York.

Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes retired at age 90. That should be the age limit. I’ve never seen a federal judge at that age handle anything right. The appeals court judges that get around that age depend almost entirely on their clerks to write their opinions. It’s time for a mandatory retirement age for judges like most states have.

What I find interesting is zero judges tried to stop President Eisenhower from deporting illegals during his ‘Operation Wetback’ government program.
Yeah instead of the whole “Alien enemies act” just deport them, deport them like he did in his first term..no act necessary, just say “You are in the US illegally you are GONE”
On unrelated item: Just saw this—— Republican podcaster and former Fox News host Steve Hilton jumped into the California governor’s race Tuesday, with a formal announcement in Huntington Beach.
He has no jurisdiction under the alien enemies law. Ignore his seditious butt. Deport them anyway. He can’t do a thing about it, the supremes won’t rule, the epic leadership wont dare impeach.
Raise finger and proceed. Do like Andrew Jackson.
How did these gang members get here, and when? Did they enter legally - and by “legally” I mean by applying and waiting to come in or coming in only AFTER they had the vetting required to fulfill the law governing paroled immigrants. If they came here illegally, did they file for asylum within a year of being here? If not, then they chose to forego due process.
This is the second federal judge ruling on the case in one day. A lesbian in Colorado said they cannot be deported, now this clown. How many judges at this moment claim jurisdiction over Venezuelan deportees? I think there must be at least five or six. The supreme court is supine, time to ignore their ass. Let’s give them an actual constitutional crisis. Time for the courts to get pimp slapped.

Yep. By getting trapped into “But this is a really dangerous guy” arguments, they are undermining the 10s of millions who are hear illegally and have to go home even without having committed violent crimes.
The black letter law in the alien enemy act specifically allows the president to deem who will be deported, and the manner in which it will happen. He is following the law. He is not going to court to get permission to remove them. Under the authority of the act, he is deporting them.
Third parties file lawsuits in federal courts on behalf of the gang members.
The judges illegally accept those cases and proceed on them.
Trump is not bringing those cases before the court. The mistake is that when these cases go to court, Pam Blondie appears in court and starts to argue. They have no jurisdiction over those cases under the alien enemy act, so Blondie should not send anyone to appear.
The judges can’t stop Trump. Trump is stopping Trump. Unless he gets off his ass real soon he’s gonna lose. He’s giving these judges power where they have none. I’d hate to think he’s afraid of the demons yelling impeach! When he puts the judges back in their lane but that is what it’s beginning to look like.
