Seriously, he needs the Senate and House to focus on the reconciliation budget bill. Judges can wait a few months.

I can vouch for the fact that I contributed to his campaign, and no one has asked me about being a judge.

No more judges from McConnell's list of Deep Staters.

Well... pamela is making sure that all the folks on the CIA’s honeytrap list for politicians is cleaned of relevant names, to protect the innocent... or identify those who could be called to testify as to WHOM the CIA used or is still using.

probably half the girls are now middle aged adults and subject to ‘cleaning’ edicts by the intelligence community at home or abroad.

protect the innocent? My ass... she is fully manifesting the behaviors of a deep stater.

Can we knock it off with the XX chromosomes. They make funny, smartass TV “judges” but are all clueless when it comes to reality. Most of the XX junior level “district” judges we’ve seen so far obstructing the government should be doing cooking shows on TV. The refugee “district” judges should be doing travel, hiking and camping shows.

Biden appointed 45 Circuit Court judges and 187 District Court judges. Trump needs to counter that.

Hopefully a certain thing will happen to the Wide Latina and he’ll appoint two rock ribbed Originalists for the Thomas and Alito seats on the SCOTUS.

I agree, but will there be Thomas or Alito types picked? We hear over and over how Trump’s three Supreme Court nominees have all gone liberal on us, on one case or another.

This gets back to how nominees are picked and vetted.

At this point, I’m wondering if you can get them to pre-sign resignations…

No, it's not like a cabinet position.

Pity. I understand the need for independent branches of government, but I think the Right has ceded its institutional protections through naïveté.

I think the problem is that judges have been selected before they have shown their true judicial philosophy. We've gotten too many stealth candidates for judgeships who give us unpleasant surprises once elevated to the job. Amy Conehead tops the list.

It is demand like this plus the rogue judges that affect the speed of DoJ. Not to mention cleaning up left-over garbage inside the DoJ and CIA.

I hope he gets better advice on his judges this term than he did at #45.

I asked Perplexity why this so......

Donald Trump has not appointed any judges to fill federal judicial vacancies since taking office in January 2025 because, as of March 31, 2025, he had not yet submitted any Article III federal judicial nominations in his second term. This is not unprecedented; the timing of first judicial nominations by presidents has varied in recent decades, with some presidents waiting several months into their term before making their initial appointments.

During his first term, Trump was very active in judicial appointments, but in his current term, he has simply not yet made any nominations as of the latest available data. The reasons for this delay have not been officially stated, but possible contributing factors include the comparatively low number of vacancies he inherited this term (about 40, versus over 100 in his first term) and potential shifts in his approach to judicial nominations, such as relying less on traditional conservative vetting organizations like the Federalist Society.

In summary, the lack of appointments so far is due to the absence of nominations from the Trump administration, which may reflect both strategic timing and changing political or procedural considerations.
