The grieving father of a teenage boy killed at a track meet was ambushed by January 6 rioters who demanded he take part in a 'Protect White People' press conference.
Metcalf's 17-year-old son Austin was tragically stabbed in the chest while attending a track meet at his Texas high school on April 2.
Teenager Karmelo Anthony was last week granted bond as he awaits his next court appearance on a charge of murder.
The case has become a lightning rod for political debates, with a fundraiser for Karmelo topping $480,000 as supporters rally behind him and say he's been treated unfairly due to his race.
In an extraordinary video, Jake Lang - who was part of the January 6 riot before his case was commuted by President Trump - launched a vile attack against Metcalf after realizing he didn't share his opinion on the influence of race in his son's death.
'Would you be willing to stand by me... and talk about this issue that is larger than Austin at this point,' Lang asked Metcalf over the phone, surrounded by supporters.
'God rest the beautiful young man's soul that would've been one of our strongest voices if he were alive today.'
Metcalf listened politely as Lang spoke, before dismantling his arguments and demanding his son's name, picture and memory are not associated with his cause.
'Are you done?' he asked. 'My turn to speak. You are part of the f**king problem, my friend.

Austin Metcalf was not killed because he is white.
He was killed because Anthony Karmello believes that Black guys have to be murderous thugs or else they are being “disrespected”. Austin Metcalf could have been Black and gotten the same thing. Black on black crime is rampant. And yes, it is because of Black “culture”.
Part of that culture is to always cry “racism” A Black kid stabs somebody for “dissing” him and all of a sudden all the Blacks are rising up and making excuses for him - most likely because they know that he was just abiding by their Godless, pathetic unspoken (but then, it is now being spoken very loudly!) creed. True, they don’t rise as a group to do this when a Black kills another Black, but that’s because they always have to deflect that their own culture of violence is because of racism. It’s a lie. A big, fat lie.
But it is never gonna stop until the whole issue of race is left behind as the red herring that it is. This killing wasn’t about race. It was about the culture that Anthony Karmello was trained in. If we let this be about race we are the suckers, and we are serving nothing but the lie.
If Dad was one of those “evil racists” he would have warned his kid that some black teens are racist against whites and could attack a white kid at the slightest provocation.
But—Dad did not want to go there....
Culture vs. race is a great discussion in a college classroom.
In the real world on the street it is a distinction without a difference.

Right now, yes. But the only way it changes is when Blacks rise up and say, “Being Black does not mean being an animal thug. And when you act like an animal thug you are not allowed to say you were just being Black.”
How are Blacks supposed to rise up in this environment and say that, when we who are outside of that pressure won’t even rise up and say it?
The more we make this about Blacks hating whites, the more excuses we allow them to have, to avoid the real issue, which is this: Why do so many Black people believe that being “disrespected” justifies killing someone?
But it is never gonna stop until the whole issue of race is left behind as the red herring that it is. This killing wasn’t about race. It was about the culture that Anthony Karmello was trained in. If we let this be about race we are the suckers, and we are serving nothing but the lie.

Father did right thing since trial has not been established.
I’ll be disagreeing with you. The dad was right for politely telling that guy to take a hike. The dad was right in trying to not make his son’s murder about race and start what the killer’s family has started. What Jan. 6 riot? I must have missed that.

EVERYONE in the private sector and the public sector agree that things are getting out of hand and need to change but yet, you can see here there are some who WANT to stir the pot even more and it’s WRONG...WHO on earth would ever imagine there are so many hate filled people that they even make the murder of a man’s son controversial and the boy’s father is vilified and called names for his remarks?
Do they not realize THEY are the “racists?” They can’t abide that the father of the murdered son ISN’T one.

Beware of self proclaimed “Christians”. Just as one should be wary of self proclaimed anything else.
Throwing rocks at a grieving man for using the “f” word in calling out what he believes to be one of the causes for his son’s very recent death is....
I won’t say what it is. I’m too “Christian” to use that language.
Just to be clear—the father believes that white racists are responsible for his son’s death?
His son is six feet under while his killer is enjoying fame and fortune.
