Precursor?.................
Yes, I heard a low rumble approaching, then felt some shaking. After the shaking stopped, my phone blared out an earthquake warning and instructed me to duck and cover.
Heard from a friend working in south LA who said it shook pretty good.
Not in Ca, but got the emergency alert on the Az border.
“Earthquake Detected! Drop! Cover! Hold on! Protect yourself!”
Some wokie must have typed that end of the world alert. lol
It’s likely a pre-determined message, and not typed ‘live’.
Yeah, that alert thing needs to be restricted to areas immediately adjacent. Not hundreds of miles away.
Unusual location.
Hmm
I felt it, scared the hell out of me, last quake I felt was the Northridge quake and it was a doozy!!
You haven’t been to the Border in some time! HA!
.
The Julian area is near “Campo Minutemen”
Old Stompin’ Grounds.
.
Good Times
5.2?
Mouse Fart.
Aftershocks all decreasing in size. Looks to me like a complete sequence, but I’m not a seismologist and I don’t play one on TV.
Well, those are fairly conservative counties...............for California...........
We (at work) got the alert on our phones, over by John Wayne Airport. Thought it was an error - 30 seconds later . . . it arrived. Welcome to the future !
Just felt another small jolt, an aftershock.
Old stomping grounds for me too. Very good times. Haven’t been camping/dirtbike riding out there for 12 years or so. I bet it’s a lot different now. Corrall Canyon. McCain Valley. Julian is a beautiful spot. Drive through it before on my way to Ocotillo Wells and hit snow.
I live in LA, got an alert on my phone, never signed up for it but I guess with iphones its now automatic, looked to see what the hell the alert was about by the time I read it I saw the blinds move so here barely felt it..my brother lives in Irvine but havent gotten into contact with him yet no biggie 5.2 isnt the end of the world
Felt nothing here in Texas.
Your warning was 30 seconds..lucky mine was like 2 seconds LOL
I hope it doesn’t trigger a tsunami in San Diego Bay that might inundate Petco Park and interfere with the Cubs/Padres game tonight.
