Right now, with the tariff war going on, many people in China are losing their jobs. Even business owners aren’t spared.
China couldf ace a wave of bankruptcies and US 9:50 exports to China might also completely 9:52 stop the Chinese Communist Party has 9:54 proposed six so-called countermeasures 9:56 but in reality all of them would end up 9:59 hurting China itself the CCPbacked 10:02 WeChat account Neilotin posted on April 10:04 8th that China is ready to hit back at 10:07 the US with at least six counter 10:08 measures first China may sharply raise 10:11 tariffs on US agricultural goods like 10:13 soybeans and sororum second it could ban 10:16 US poultry imports third it might 10:18 suspend cooperation with the US on 10:20 fentinel fourth it could take action in 10:22 the services trade sector like 10:24 restricting US firms from taking part in 10:26 government procurement or working in 10:28 legal consulting fifth it may block 10:30 American movies from entering the 10:31 Chinese market sixth it plans to 10:34 investigate how much US companies earn 10:35 from intellectual property in China but 10:38 Trump already had responses to the first 10:39 and second moves during his first term 10:41 he gave subsidies to American farmers 10:43 and businesses that were affected in the 10:45 end these measures didn't hurt the US 10:47 they actually ended up hurting Chinese 10:49 consumers more as for suspending 10:51 fentinel cooperation that might just 10:53 anger the American public and push them 10:55 to support Trump even more this could 10:57 lead to even tougher US policies against 10:59 the CCP and the idea of retaliating 11:02 against American companies in China or 11:04 investigating them is also seen as a bad 11:06 move because it would only speed up the 11:08 departure of foreign companies from 11:10 China these counter measures would 11:12 likely push up prices inside China and 11:14 hurt everyday consumers at the same time 11:16 they would make decoupling between the 11:17 US and China even worse the eighth risk 11:20 is that beyond tariffs the US might 11:22 launch a financial war against China the 11:24 US still has a lot of tools it hasn't 11:26 used yet the United States holds a major 11:29 advantage when it comes to advanced 11:30 technology so it could block China from 11:33 accessing key tech turning the conflict 11:35 into a tech war the US also has the US 11:38 dollar a globally accepted currency 11:40 which gives strength in a financial war 11:43 plus the US has powerful allies when 11:45 combined with democracies like those in 11:47 Europe Japan Australia and South Korea 11:50 these economies make up over half of the 11:52 global economy taiwanese media reported
Second when they discuss what is happening in the ports of China, this is true as observed last week during the update from Monkey Werx Sit-rep of cargo ships starting to be anchored at sea much like what happened during Covid.
Of note, much of what is happening in this trade war will negatively effect China far more than what we will experience here in the United States.
I can’t speak about after Trump, but Trump fully intends to bring China to heel as best as he can.
It’s not just Zhejiang. In recent days, major export hubs along China’s coast—including Guangdong, Shanghai, and even Hong Kong—have seen freight operations come to a near standstill. Ports in these areas are now filled with containers waiting to be shipped.

I have a client that does business in Japan, China, Asia Pacific. He normally travels there every 3 weeks or more often. The last 9 weeks he has not traveled at all.
Right now, with the tariff war going on, many people in China are losing their jobs. Even business owners aren’t spared.
China couldf ace a wave of bankruptcies and US
9:50 exports to China might also completely
9:52 stop the Chinese Communist Party has
9:54 proposed six so-called countermeasures
9:56 but in reality all of them would end up
9:59 hurting China itself the CCPbacked
10:02 WeChat account Neilotin posted on April
10:04 8th that China is ready to hit back at
10:07 the US with at least six counter
10:08 measures first China may sharply raise
10:11 tariffs on US agricultural goods like
10:13 soybeans and sororum second it could ban
10:16 US poultry imports third it might
10:18 suspend cooperation with the US on
10:20 fentinel fourth it could take action in
10:22 the services trade sector like
10:24 restricting US firms from taking part in
10:26 government procurement or working in
10:28 legal consulting fifth it may block
10:30 American movies from entering the
10:31 Chinese market sixth it plans to
10:34 investigate how much US companies earn
10:35 from intellectual property in China but
10:38 Trump already had responses to the first
10:39 and second moves during his first term
10:41 he gave subsidies to American farmers
10:43 and businesses that were affected in the
10:45 end these measures didn’t hurt the US
10:47 they actually ended up hurting Chinese
10:49 consumers more as for suspending
10:51 fentinel cooperation that might just
10:53 anger the American public and push them
10:55 to support Trump even more this could
10:57 lead to even tougher US policies against
10:59 the CCP and the idea of retaliating
11:02 against American companies in China or
11:04 investigating them is also seen as a bad
11:06 move because it would only speed up the
11:08 departure of foreign companies from
11:10 China these counter measures would
11:12 likely push up prices inside China and
11:14 hurt everyday consumers at the same time
11:16 they would make decoupling between the
11:17 US and China even worse the eighth risk
11:20 is that beyond tariffs the US might
11:22 launch a financial war against China the
11:24 US still has a lot of tools it hasn’t
11:26 used yet the United States holds a major
11:29 advantage when it comes to advanced
11:30 technology so it could block China from
11:33 accessing key tech turning the conflict
11:35 into a tech war the US also has the US
11:38 dollar a globally accepted currency
11:40 which gives strength in a financial war
11:43 plus the US has powerful allies when
11:45 combined with democracies like those in
11:47 Europe Japan Australia and South Korea
11:50 these economies make up over half of the
11:52 global economy taiwanese media reported
The CCP’s mistake? Not realizing that ‘the customer is always right’
Don’t take advantage of your customers
I usually never watch these videos. This one, I watched.
WOW! The many scenes of shuttered businesses, the hundreds of containers backed up in ports.... even if Trump cancelled the tariffs TODAY, China will take a massive hit.
I believe China will put its idled population to a war footing. Look for a blockade of Taiwan.
AND, they will lose face...’no likey’
Losing face looks like their smallest worry. If you watched the video and see the scale of their problems, they have the potential to lose their SHIRT.
I’m actually sorry to see average people in China suffer like this. Our quarrel is with the CCP, not the Lao Baixing who are generally good decent people.
That said, as an American our national security and the well being of our people has to take priority. A lot of our people have suffered a great deal due to globalism. Time for Americans to be put back to work. Time for suicides and fentanyl overdoses and other deaths of despair to go way down because we’ve restored factories and hope to much of America that lost theirs a generation ago.
Not just in the ports, Monkey Werx sit-rep is showing container ships sitting at sea off the China coast.
I thought the points made were pretty fair to both sides and gives a good insight to what is taking place. Something our political creatures are not sharing or aware of.
I saw this morning an article posted here on FR that the EU is going to try to cozy up to China. Again, another view that the EU is not our ally. But at the same time I wonder if China will still rely on their wolf warrior business tactics, in light of the Ukraine war? Can China be an EU trading partner while at the same time supporting Russia?
BTTT
China has been in a recession for a while already. During Chinese New Year they were showing images of no one, literally no one shopping or celebrating. One ‘tourist’ was asking where everyone had gone.
Second, and this seems conspiracy, but videos are starting to pop up saying millions are “missing.” China being a closed country to most newsfeeds, it is a cautionary consideration. Are they missing or have they been conscripted?
Conscripted.
China will go to war within 6 months.
No, but I noticed it too.
Correct. In a trade war, the one reliant on exporting has more to lose. This simple fact is lost on some.
China’s bleating is a face-saving exercise. The USA - even after all the Biden damage - still the only superpower.
The CCP operates on the principle of “The Party is always right”. Just like in Nineteen Eighty-Four.
China sees us as the enemy.
That's the problem with China. The entire concept of "free markets" is alien to it.
China needs to come to the table with an olive branch, not a machete.
