Prayers up he gonna need them
Too late................
Heβs gone on to reap what he had sown.
What I know about Texas would fit in a thimble. Any chance that this district could flip?
i guess we’re gonna have him lay in state and fly the flags at half mast and, er, nervermind.
Wow.
In Texas, the process for filling a vacancy in the U.S. House of Representatives is outlined in the Texas Election Code, Chapter 204. According to Section 204.021, an unexpired term in the office of United States representative may be filled only by a special election. β
The governor is responsible for setting the date for this special election. If the vacancy occurs while Congress is in session, the governor may appoint a temporary replacement to serve until the special election is held and a successor is duly elected and qualified. β
He can keep voting in Congress after death.
After all, he’s a Democrat.
Well, bye. π

US Constitution requires special election for all House seats.
I am not mocking, but just curious: did he pass away before or after Trump’s speech last night?
I can imagine someone who has an intense dislike of their opponent would have psychological effects if they see the opponent is successful and saying the right things but they cannot acknowledge it...
1. clot shot, or
2. knew too much on the Clintons, or
3. publicly stated while in his Houston district that the Oilers are better off after they moved to Tennessee.
He'll need asbestos more.
Sheila Jackson Lee’s district, so not a likely flip. I wonder what kind of flex Abbott has.....appoint an R (not likely in this district), delay an appointment, or not at all, delay the special election.
At any rate, it neuters our temporary numbers caused by exec. appointments.
