Long ago there was a People Magazine photo illustrated story of the plight of a typical gang member teen in the hospital. They showed him smiling and confidently holding up his IV connected arm in bed, with many machines around him. Some incredible amount of money had been listed for his gunshot survival after his being in a crossfire shooting. The amount was in the hundreds of thousands and going up. Many specialists and special technicians worked to help him.
My point?
All those people in New York set aside resentment that gang members commit rapes, home invasions, muggings, forced use of ATM by victims and daily murders-——but they deserve to be given help.

Never forget that considering Gentiles as dogs was the overwhelming broad attitude among Jews for centuries under Moses' Law before Jesus' time, and still is for the more orthodox Jews. Example (figuratively spoken) from the Bible (and there are lots more in it):
