Donald Trump's peace plan for the Ukraine/Russia conflict is coming under fire from some entertaining quarters. There is, of course, the domestic whining from the likes of John Bolton, who said

“I think we know exactly what's gonna happen. President Trump has effectively surrendered to Putin before the negotiations have even begun.”

I asked Grok what Bolton's solution to the conflict and it said this:

• No Negotiations with Russia: At various times, Bolton has argued against negotiating with Russia from a position of anything less than strength. He believes that as long as the conflict can be won militarily, talks with Russia to resolve the conflict through political means should be avoided, as they would only serve to legitimize Russian gains.
• Long-term Commitment: He has suggested that the conflict might be protracted, likening it to historical long wars like the Thirty or Hundred Years War, indicating that Americans should not expect a quick resolution. He believes Putin might be playing a long game, possibly waiting for a more favorable U.S. administration or situation to negotiate from a position of strength.

Hmmm. We'll come back to that.

• How long should the war go on?

People like you are locked into a kindergarten vision of the world, in which you demonize opponents as the next Genghis Khan/Stalin/Hitler and imagine they are out to conquer the world. Whereas that is almost never the case (and when it is the evidence is plain to see without torturing the facts).

Putin is for a safe and secure Russia and cares about the Russian people. At times that makes him tough to deal with in areas of conflict, but his goals are not expansive like the NATO bureaucracy in its efforts to perpetually push its globalist agenda - the evidence for THAT really is plain to see.

It’s a full court press by the warmongers on their beloved war in the Ukraine. Conservatives are not fans of Putin or Russia and we enjoy Ivan getting throat punched, we were the most ardent Cold Warriors but we learned from history and that the world has changed since 1938, 1945 and 1991. The current crop of foreign policy apparatchiks can’t even articulate what their version of appeasement in the Ukraine will result in.

The Russians are struggling to defeat a corrupt cesspool called the Ukraine, and yet we are led to believe if the Ukraine falls the Russians will suddenly regroup and be riding in to Berlin or Gdansk in six months and still the forever warmongers are unable to tell us what exactly we will lose strategically if we let the Ukraine fend for itself.

Presidents from Clinton, Bush, Obumbler-especially and BiteMe blundered into this Ukrainian fiasco and they have flailed around with no strategic vision for the USA. There are lessons to be learned from history and one is like that of the Korean War. General Bradley stated its the “wrong war, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong enemy.”

Ukraine probably could have won its war against Russia if our political class was serious about its support and not just about enriching themselves.
