At least they don’t have to drive in to the office anymore for return to work. They should be happy.

275,000 plus however many in USAID and the Education Department and Government Services who have been fired is a good start but we will need to see AT LEAST four or five times as many fired bureaucrats a year from now.

Didn’t a lot of this govt hiring boost Biden’s jobs reports in the last 2 years?
Still its sad for people who really did enjoy their jobs and looked forward to careers.

Smaller govt. I like it. It’s a good start and President Trump is just getting started. May God through Christ, protect and enable President Trump to accomplish much and needed good in America.

This decision targets many of the roughly 200,000 people hired by the federal government within the last two years. The real problem is the hordes of entrenched long-term employees that have become lazy and indolent over the years and are overly protected by civil service rules so it's so difficult to fire them to the point that supervisors aren't even willing to try.

Just call it Funemployment.
It’s a great term for people with jobs to use.
I’ve been there a couple times working in the private sector and while I don’t wish it on anyone, it’s necessary for the sake of our country. Hopefully these people have some marketable skills.

Dems aren’t even arguing that these gubmint jobs are critical to the operation of the gubmint.
Dems are hanging with the unions.
For those folk the purpose of the gubmint is to provide “featherbed” jobs to borrow a term from a half century ago.
