I’d see it. Paul Giamatti is a good actor.
I have a Y2K paranoia crank radio for the prop department!
“I’d go see it.”
I would as well. I used to enjoy listening to the show. Some interesting and intriguing topics and guests along with the ridiculous which was entertaining in its own way.
From the kingdom of Nye!
I had a good chick hunting buddy who was a regular on the Art Bell show.
Art bell coast to coast. Nothing else on that was as much fun after midnight on AM radio. The cryptics were fun but not when checking on sites in the middle of the night. However I did learn a lot on many topics…in the middle of the night…all alone…with only a flashlight…dundun dunnnn.
My other fun was driving at night in the Colorado mountains and pricking up LA news radio, talk radio from Dallas, news and weather from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska through the signal skip.
Art was in many ways a founding father of the modern free speech movement. He often said that he didn’t agree with many of his guests but wanted to offer them a platform to tell their stories and air their views when nobody else in the media would.
Phil Hendrie, a talk show comic at KFI in Los Angeles did the best parody of Art Bell.

Art had one of the best Politic Talk Radio Shows going in the early 90’s. How many remember when “Charlie here” would call up (a frequent liberal caller) and off it’d go with debates!
Then, Ruby Ridge, and Waco, and it was burning up the airwaves - until Oklahoma City bombing happened. Clinton was blaming Talk Radio for it, and Art backed off politics. Really sad about that.
I haven’t been to a movie theater since 1999. My boycott will continue to death.
Please, please include Cydonia in the show. Listening to Art Bell’s quest ‘experts’ talking, with absolute certitude, about the Martian Cydonia Pyramid Complex is as riveting as it is crazy. Reminds me often my mental health clients who could do stream-of-consciousness explanations that nothing at all to do with reality.
I would too , but I doubt it’ll make it to Japan . Bell led a fascinating life . Best radio voice of all time .
Big fan of Art Bell.
The movie must include in no particular order:
Malachi Martin
Michael Heiser
Mel’s hole
Please, please, please - Mel Waters has to make an appearance!
from when I was a little child I loved radio. I know what diodes and galena crystals are, and wrapped magnet wire around toilet paper tubes.
I loved OTR and pity the fools who think listening to their kindle narrate a book is great.
Art is in my top 5 and I still listen to random episodes at night cause it is safer than sleeping drugs (hopefully)
Rip Art
Was Art Bell finally taken away by a space ship or something?
That would make a great end to a movie.
I’d give a lot to have one last late night dozing off to the sound of Mr. Bell’s cigarette velvet voice.
Love Art Bell.
I used to listen to Art all the time. His website was so awful, it was amazing.
I will see this Art Bell movie for sure. In the Billions TV series, Giamatti was brilliant!
