In just a few hours, 17,000 South Africans have contacted the South African Chamber of Commerce USA after President Trump signed an Executive Order granting Afrikaners refugee status. Many Afrikaners are calling for help to protect their 400-year-old community in South Africa. Elon Musk called to declare “Kill the Boer” singer Julius Malema “an international criminal.”

Several tribal regions within South Africa have achieved independence, such as the Kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland. Under the Apartheid regime, Homeland areas such as Ciskei, Transkei, KwaZulu, Bophuthatswana, Venda and others functioned as autonomous regions with generous self-rule.
With the failure of the corrupt ANC government, rampant crime, violence, and infrastructural collapse, there has been mounting support for independence of the Cape Region. The Afrikaner Solidarity Union movement has proposed creating autonomous regions for South Africa’s Afrikaner ethnic minority.

There were 23 farm attacks and 2 farm murders in South Africa in January 2025, according to South Africa Today. In 2024, there were 283 farm attacks and 28 farm murders.
Elon Musk, who was born in South Africa, posted samples of black leaders in South Africa such as Andile Mngxitama of the newly formed UMkhonto WeSizwe Party, calling for farm murders (“Plassmoorde”).
...
Musk also posted an older speech by the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters party, Julius Malema, calling to “cut the throat of whiteness.”
Musk urged “immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal!”
Malema is known for singing the “Struggle Song” Kill the Boer, including in front of 90,000 EFF supporters 2023, often followed by a spate of farm attacks. The South African Equality Court found that “Kill the Boer” is “not hate speech” 2022.

“I really think you have entirely lost your left brain: a typical spoiled brat and direct beneficiary of Apartheid whiteness,” Malema responded. “I know black people look the same to you, typical racist. Look closer, and you will realize those are two different people. America is exposing us to its stupidity. I don’t care about your sanctions; I will never stop fighting for black people to be equal to white people, and if that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one.”
The mayor of Afrikaner community Orania, Joost Strydom, said, “We are very thankful, specifically for the urgency with which this was tackled in regards to land expropriation.”
“However, our plea can be summarized in three words: Help us here. Not necessarily with US tax dollars, but with the recognition of our legitimate pursuit: Afrikaner self-determination in an autonomous region. Recognizing us as an ethnic people leads to a conclusion: that the only solution for Afrikaners is an autonomous area. … Our highest ambition is not to be resettled or relocated, it is freedom. We ask the White House to recognize this, and extend that wish to all other nations.”
...
“After the Trump Executive Order, Orania sent a simple message to the Trump administration,” Joost Strydom said in a follow-up video:
“We don’t want US tax dollars, what we want is recognition of our autonomous territory for Afrikaners in South Africa where we can make decisions for ourselves. We got a storm of local media requests here in South Africa, but we want to reach American outlets and representatives of the American government. If you can help us, get us in touch with mainstream or alternative media, please share this video.”

AfriForum Community Safety Spokesman Jacques Broodryk outlined the land invasions and land grabs that have taken place in South Africa.
On Friday, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to address serious human rights violations occurring in South Africa.
As encapsulated in its recent land confiscation act to seize disfavored citizens’ property without compensation, the government of South Africa blatantly discriminates against ethnic minority descendants of settler groups.
As long as South Africa continues to support bad actors on the world stage and allows violent attacks on innocent disfavored minority farmers, the United States will stop aid and assistance to the country.
The United States will establish a plan to resettle disfavored minorities in South Africa discriminated against because of their race as refugees.
STANDING UP AGAINST INJUSTICE AND OPPRESSION:
President Donald J. Trump is committed to holding South Africa accountable for its actions.
South Africa has taken positions against the United States and its allies.
Merely two months after the October 7th terrorist attacks on Israel, South Africa accused Israel, not Hamas, of genocide in the International Court of Justice. South Africa also strengthened ties with Iran, which supports terrorism globally.
While championing terrorism and autocratic regimes abroad, South Africa has committed similar human rights violations at home. The recent Expropriation Act enables the government of South Africa to seize ethnic minority descendants of settler groups’ agricultural property without compensation.
The Expropriation Act follows countless government policies designed to dismantle equal opportunity in employment, education, and business, and hateful rhetoric and government actions fueling disproportionate violence against racially disfavored landowners. Years ago, the South African government disbanded volunteer forces defending rural farmers, turning a blind eye to the ensuing farm attacks.
REAFFIRMING OUR COMMITMENT TO HUMAN RIGHTS: A commitment to human rights is central to President Trump’s America First agenda.
President Trump: “South Africa is confiscating land, and treating certain classes of people very badly […] I will be cutting off all future funding to South Africa until a full investigation of this situation has been completed!”
President Trump believes in sending a clear message to the world’s bad actors—and to their victims—by condemning human rights abuses in no uncertain terms.
Can they not partition the country?
They could, but want it all.
SA needs a “Two State” solution?
Those are incredible farmers. Bring them here and let them buy the farmland that was sold to China.
More like five.
But the WSJ said nobody would take Trump up on his offer because one moron said he was staying. He’s probably already dead.
We have some great places they could help revitalize.
Oakland, South Central LA, South Side Chicago East St Louis.
The list goes on and on.
They are not incredible farmers, they have destroyed the farms they took after apartheid. Most nations are now agriculturally impoverished. I’m sorry to say that but it’s true;
sad.
He also refused to renounce violence, which is why they kept him locked up.
So, I hope Winny doesn’t land a contract selling tires in America.
No.

You are nuts. Those families have been there since the 1600s
Last I heard Winny had gone into the jewelry business, specializing in necklaces.
